Head of School Column:
Welcome to summer here at Page! The students had a wonderful
time at our sleepover this past Friday. We are now saying goodbye
to old friends while new friends have come to join Page School. I
would like to thank all our families for their support this past year.
As we move on into July we have more activities planned so don’t
forget to look at your summer calendar so you don’t miss out! In
the morning we have academics as well as art, games, swimming,
computers and many other fun things planned.
We will be getting ready for our school year starting August 10th.
Uniforms will be available to order and try on July 1st. You are
welcome to stop by try on and place orders to get a head start
during the summer. Look out for our packet coming in the mail
soon that will provide you with information for the upcoming school
year.
I hope everyone has a wonderful summer if you’re here at Page or
spending time with your families. Have a happy 4th of July and stay
safe! We look forward to seeing you in August!

Summer Reading
We know how proud you must be of your accomplishments this year. And we know you want to keep
those skills sharp! Recent studies have shown than many children lose almost 50% of their reading
comprehension abilities over the summer break. There is an easy way to keep that from happening to
you. Read!
We are so lucky to have such fine community libraries. Many of them have summer reading programs
and clubs. So take advantage of your resources and have fun reading!
Physical Examinations
Sooner than you know it, we will be starting our academic year! All children entering Kindergarten
and First Grade must have a current physical examination. This is a very important requirement.
Please make sure all forms (which are available in the office) are returned prior to the start of school.
Fire Safety
We wish you all a very happy Fourth of July! Please have a
wonderful and safe holiday. What a perfect time to practice
fire safety with your family. Together, discuss your exit plans
and where you will meet. Preparation and planning can help
us deal more efficiently with emergency situations.
We will be CLOSED on Friday, July 3rd in observance
of Independence Day.

In The Swim
Swimming is a part of our Summer Program. All students, Pre-school
through Sixth grade, will have the chance to use the pool during
their scheduled times. Water safety skills will be taught along with
the basic stroke techniques.
Please supply your child with a swim bag for their bathing suit and
towel. Make sure your child’s name is clearly marked on all items.
Simple rules to follow:
1. Walk, do not run!
2. Diving is not allowed.
3. Please put your clothes in your bag while you are swimming, not
on the floor.
4. Use low voices-remember, others are in class.
5. Swimsuits only, no shorts are allowed in the pool.
Happy
Independence
Day!
In honor of Independence
Day, Page Private School will
be closed on Friday, July
3rd. We hope that all of you
have a wonderful and safe
Fourth of July.

5.
Sign up early. Space is limited.
Be sure your child wears closed toe shoes.
If spending money is allowed, all money is turned into the office and given to your child’s teacher.
Make sure your child is on campus at least 20 minutes before the trip is scheduled to leave.
Page T-Shirts are a must! They help the staff identify their group of children quickly and give the
children a feeling of pride.
6. Be prepared for a fun day! Field Trips are not only fun, but we can learn many things as a group.
Summer Dress Code
Although the traditional school uniform is not required during the summer session, students are expected to
6
observe good taste in casual dress. Closed toe, rubber soled shoes (tennis shoes) are allowed. For safety
reasons, sandals are not permitted.

Kinder Korner
Summer has begun! After all the hard work our kindergarten students have accomplished during the
academic year, we wish them a great summer! To the newcomers who have joined the kindergarten
department, we welcome you with a wonderful session full of surprises, arts and crafts, swimming and
games.
We will continue to reinforce the basic skills that were taught in pre-kindergarten. We look forward to
working with your child this summer.
