Pacific Asia Indigenous Tourism & Trade Conference September 12-14, 2015 Vancouver, BC
About the 2015 Pacific Asia Indigenous
Tourism and Trade Conference
The 2015 Pacific Asia Indigenous Tourism and Trade Conference is an opportunity for your organization
to connect with over 250 leaders and industry partners in the Indigenous tourism industry.
The inaugural PAITC was held in Darwin, Australia, in 2012 and was responsible for the publishing
of the Larrakia Declaration, a tourism industry response to the United Nations Declaration on the
Rights of Indigenous Peoples. For its second installment, PAITC 2015 will bring together an impressive
delegation of businesses, governments, Indigenous groups, industry and civil service members to
share and build upon the principles of Indigenous rights established in the Larrakia Declaration.
Truly a Worldly Event
The conference will feature panel discussions, presentations and workshops that promote the
successful development of Indigenous tourism across national boundaries, from Africa to Australia
to North America. It will be an opportunity to learn from one another, network and to celebrate the
vibrant cultural world of Indigenous peoples.
By supporting this conference, sponsors are collaborating and supporting the health and development
of the global Indigenous community. The PAITC is an opportunity to establish your business as a
leader in the corporate sector for understanding, respecting and supporting the rights and culture of
Indigenous peoples. Sponsors can also gain high visibility, brand promotion and exposure to a global
network of Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations and businesses in the tourism industry.
We look forward to your participation in this premier event, and to welcoming you to Vancouver in
2015, the traditional territory of Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-wah-tuth Nations.
