commencement date. To make joining as easy
as possible you have the option to pay
annually, or monthly by direct debit (a 10%

MEGA MEMBERSHIP
BECOME A MEGA MEMBER
If you only get to play golf once or twice a month then Mega Membership is for you. Our pay as you play golf
membership makes golf more affordable and gives you a choice of discounted green fees on four of the most
prestigious golf courses in Queensland – Palmer Gold Coast, Palmer Colonial, Palmer Coolum Resort and Palmer Sea
Reef Port Douglas. Being a Mega Member allows you to have a Golf Australia handicap which in turn gives you
access to play in competitions without having to join as a full member. Mega Membership is a great option and
comes with lots of great benefits.

AFFILIATION FEES
Affiliation fees are a compulsory levy applied by the Gold Coast Golf Association, Golf Queensland and Golf Australia
for all members whose membership allows them: a) Playing rights on the club’s course regardless of whether they
might also belong to another golf club or clubs. b) Members who hold an Australian Golf Handicap.
The Golf Australia fee covers players’ insurance for personal liability in the case of an accident. It also includes the
Golf Link handicap maintenance levy. For the 2015/2016 golf year it is $60.00(males) and $60.00 (females).
12 MONTH MEMBERSHIP
DIRECT DEBIT REQUEST & TERMS AND CONDITIONS
MEMBER COMMITMENT:
As part of the consideration for membership, the Member hereby agrees to remain a Member
and pay the monthly dues of a Member for a period of not less than one (1) year from the date of
this Agreement. In the event a Member cancels a membership during any period, such Member
shall remain obligated to pay monthly dues until the end of the then current 12-month period.
I understand that the applicable monthly dues payment plus any additional charges will be
transferred on the fifteenth (15) day of each month. If the schedule date is not a banking day, the
debit will take place on the next banking day.
As part of the consideration for membership and having paid for membership in full, the Member
hereby agrees to remain a Member for a period of not less than one (1) year from the date of this
Agreement.
CANCELLATION/TERMINATION WITHIN MINIMUM TERM - You can cancel your membership prior to
the expiry of the Minimum Term if you become subject to medical incapacity, if you relocate to
an area not within 50 kilometres of the Golf Club or become bankrupt. For cancellation due to
medical incapacity or relocation, you will only be permitted to cancel your membership if you
produce supporting documentation to our satisfaction (in the case of medical reasons, by a
qualified medical practitioner certifying that you are sick or incapacitated from undertaking any
Golf activity for a period not less than 3 months. In the case of relocation, supporting
documentation may be provided by an agent or employer certifying your relocation. In either of
these cases, if you are not on a Family membership type you may choose to transfer your
Membership Contract to someone you introduce to the club and who has not been a member of
either of the Golf Courses for a minimum period of three months. In this case, the departure fee
will be waived. If you do not choose this option, a departure fee will be charged depending on
the number of months left on the contract. Please refer below.
CANCELLATION 'DEPARTURE FEE' FOR MONTHLY PAYMENT OPTIONS (this may be waived in special
circumstances e.g. bankruptcy and permanent sickness or incapacity): This fee allows
cancellation of your contract and is only offered for the reasons outlined above. For the
remaining time of: 4-12 weeks $100, 13-26 weeks $150, 27-40 weeks $170 and 41-52 weeks $200 will
be payable.
If you wish to cancel for any other reason, you may do so by paying the remainder of your
contract out (departure fee). This is calculated by multiplying your monthly fee outlined on your
contract times the number of months left on your minimum term. This total is to be paid on request
of the cancellation.
CHANGE OF DETAILS - You must keep us informed of any change of address, email address,
contact numbers, bank account & credit card details for payment and any other information
relevant to your membership.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE - You are responsible for any damage, which you or your guest may
cause to the Club facilities, including but not limited to the use of Golf Carts provided by Cart
Provider Pty Ltd.
CLAIMS - From time to time, we may have to close a club due to flooding or for renovation. You
cannot seek any reduction in your membership fees because your club is closed.
DUES AND CHARGES FOR MONTHLY PAYMENTS - Monthly dues and charges shall be paid through
electronic deduction from the Member’s bank account or by electronic charges against the
Member's designated credit card. Members can expect monthly payments to be deducted or
charged no later than the 15th business day of the month. In the event that a member’s
designated credit card expires, the Golf Club reserves the right to continue billing the designated
credit card until updated billing information is received or written cancellation notice is received
per the terms outlined below (see “TERM”). Payment by Visa or MasterCard will incur an additional
1.2% surcharge.
DISHONOURED PAYMENTS - If any payment of dues or other charges is not made on time, the Golf
Club reserves the right to terminate membership. Member agrees to pay all costs incurred to
enforce collection including, but not limited to, debt collection fees and administrative costs.
Additionally, for each payment outstanding balances payable to the Golf Club not honoured,
the Golf Club will assess a service charge of $40.00.
TERM- 12-MONTH EFT MEMBERSHIP: The term of the membership shall be for a period of twelve (12)
paid full months, after which time the membership will expire unless renewed before the date of
expiration.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY The Member understands that there is an
inherent risk associated with the use of the Golf Club facilities, equipment and programs that may
result in an injury to the Member. Therefore, the Member assumes full responsibility for any injury or
damages to the Member or Member’s guests in, on or about the Golf Club premise and does
herby and forever release and discharge Palmer Leisure Australia Pty Ltd the Golf Club, its owners,
employers, and agents from any and all claims, demands, damages, rights or causes of action,
present and future, whether the same be known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated,
resulting from or arising out of the Member and the Member’s guests use, or intended use, of the
facilities, equipment and programs.
MEMBERSHIP BY LAWS - All members agree to abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the
Golf Club and any such amendments or additions, as the Golf Club Management deems
necessary.
CONVERSION/UPGRADE POLICY - Members may convert the Membership Contract and
Agreement and upgrade their membership classification. The 12 month term will be maintained
and the increased fee for the new classification will be applied. Down grading membership is not
allowable within the 12 month period.
GOLF CLUB’S RIGHT TO REVOKE MEMBERSHIP - The Golf Club Management may revoke
membership in the event the member violates the provisions of the Membership Agreement, by
laws or for undesirable behaviour, as determined by the Golf Club Management. If the Golf Club
Management revokes a membership, the member must submit all the Golf Club identification
and their signed agreement to the Golf Club

Direct Debit Request Service Agreement
Definitions
1.
Debiting your
account
Account means the account held at your financial institution from which we are authorised to arrange for funds to
be debited.
agreement means this Direct Debit Request Service Agreement between you and us.
business day means a day other than a Saturday or a Sunday or a public holiday listed throughout Australia.
debit day means the day that payment by you to us is due.
debit payment means a particular transaction where a debit is made.
direct debit request means the Direct Debit Request between us and you.
us or we means Palmer Leisure Australia Pty Ltd, the Debit User you have authorised by signing a direct debit
request.
you means the customer who signed the direct debit request.
Your financial institution is the financial institution where you hold the account that you have authorised us to
arrange to debit.

account. You should refer to the direct debit request and this agreement for the terms of the arrangement
between us and you.

Notice
We will only arrange for funds to be debited from your account as authorised in the direct debit request.
If the debit day falls on a day that is not a business day, we may direct your financial institution to debit
your account on the following business day.
If you are unsure about which day your account has or will be debited you should ask your financial
institution.
We may vary any details of this agreement or a direct debit request at any time by giving you at least
fourteen (14) days’ written notice.
Subject to 3.2 and 3.3, you may change the arrangements under a direct debit request by contacting us on
[email protected].
If you wish to stop or defer a debit payment you must notify us in writing at least fourteen (14) days before
the next debit day. This notice should be given to us in the first instance.
You may also cancel your authority for us to debit your account at any time by giving us fourteen (14) days
notice in writing before the next debit day. This notice should be given to us in the first instance.
A cancellation fee may apply in terms of the Membership Terms and Conditions as amended from time to
time.
It is your responsibility to ensure that there are sufficient clear funds available in your account to allow a
debit payment to be made in accordance with the direct debit request.
If there are insufficient clear funds in your account to meet a debit payment:
(a)
you may be charged a fee and/or interest by your financial institution;
(b)
you may also incur fees or charges imposed or incurred by us; and
(c)
you must arrange for the debit payment to be made by another method or arrange for sufficient
clear funds to be in your account by an agreed time so that we can process the debit payment.
You should check your account statement to verify that the amounts debited from your account are correct
If Palmer Leisure Australia Pty Ltd is liable to pay goods and services tax ("GST") on a supply made in
connection with this agreement, then you agree to pay Palmer Leisure Australia Pty Ltd on demand an
amount equal to the consideration payable for the supply multiplied by the prevailing GST rate.
If you believe that there has been an error in debiting your account, you should notify us directly on (07)
5553 7021 and confirm that notice in writing with us as soon as possible so that we can resolve your query
more quickly.
If we conclude as a result of our investigations that your account has been incorrectly debited we will
respond to your query by arranging for your financial institution to adjust your account (including interest
and charges) accordingly. We will also notify you in writing of the amount by which your account has been
adjusted.
If we conclude as a result of our investigations that your account has not been incorrectly debited we will
respond to your query by providing you with reasons and any evidence for this finding.
Any queries you may have about an error made in debiting your account should be directed to us in the
first instance so that we can attempt to resolve the matter between us and you. If we cannot resolve the
matter you can still refer it to your financial institution which will obtain details from you of the disputed
transaction and may lodge a claim on your behalf.
You should check:
(a)
with your financial institution whether direct debiting is available from your account as direct
debiting is not available on all accounts offered by financial institutions.
(b)
your account details which you have provided to us are correct by checking them against a recent
account statement; and
(c)
with your financial institution before completing the direct debit request if you have any queries
about how to complete the direct debit request.
7.1
We will keep any information (including your account details) in your direct debit request confidential. We
will make reasonable efforts to keep any such information that we have about you secure and to ensure
that any of our employees or agents who have access to information about you do not make any
unauthorised use, modification, reproduction or disclosure of that information.
7.2
We will only disclose information that we have about you:
(a)
to the extent specifically required by law; or
(b)
for the purposes of this agreement (including disclosing information in connection with any query
or claim).
8.1
If you wish to notify us in writing about anything relating to this agreement, you should write to
Membership, Palmer Leisure Australia, PO Box 87, Robina, Qld, 4226.
8.2
We will notify you by sending a notice in the ordinary post to the address you have given us in the direct
debit request.
8.3
Any notice will be deemed to have been received two business days after it is posted.
