WATER MILL, NY 4/16/2015 — The Parrish Art Museum’s annual Spring Fling community celebration,
fundraiser, and networking event will take place Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm at
the Museum. Spring Fling, which features a live band, art scavenger hunt in the galleries, and a silent
auction, helps support the Parrish's year-round educational programs for children.
“For nearly a decade, I've witnessed the children on the East End—including my own daughter—delight in
and benefit from the rich educational offerings at the Museum throughout the year,” said event co-chair
Laura Wynne. “I am honored to be a part of this important event, and look forward to endless possibilities
for art education at the Parrish for the entire community.”
This year’s Spring Fling includes live music from Noiz Entertainment, and hors d'oeuvre and an open bar
featuring wine and spirits from Niche Import Co. and Alpha Noble Vodka. Guests are invited to participate
in the Museum’s popular art scavenger hunt through the galleries, with prizes awarded to the winners.
This year’s silent auction will offer goods and services donated by the East End business and
professional community, including two tickets to the Broadway musical Beautiful; golf outings at the
Atlantic Golf Club, The Bridgehampton Club, and The Bridge; VIP passes to the Hampton Classic Horse
Show; a dinner for six catered by Seasons of Southampton at the winning bidder’s home; VIP tickets to
Live with Kelly and Michael; and many more gifts from Hamptons restaurants, shops, and spas.
Spring Fling began in the 1990s and now raises over $100,000 annually for the Parrish Art Museum’s
Education Department. Since the opening of the new building in Water Mill, the Museum has directly
served 4,500 families through 13 events, offered 215 school tours, 132 open studios, and 56 after school
art workshops, and 27 weeks of art camps.
This is the third year that Spring Fling will be held at the Museum’s new Herzog & de Meuron building in
Water Mill. Tickets are $200; $150 for Members. All tickets purchased after April 20, 2015 will be $225.
Tickets may be purchased online at parrishart.org/SpringFling2015 or by contacting the Benefit Events
office at 631-283-2118 x150.
Spring Fling is made possible, in part, by support from Mr. & Mrs. Timothy G. Davis; Maryanne Horwath &
Michael Shaheen, Douglas Elliman Real Estate; Brown Harris Stevens; Chase; Christine Curiale, Wells
Fargo Home Mortgage; Nancy Hardy & Dennis Baldwin; Dorothy Lichtenstein; Arthur L. Loeb; and Nest
Seekers International.
The Museum's programs are made possible, in part, by the New York State Council on the Arts with the
support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and the property taxpayers
from the Southampton School District and the Tuckahoe Common School District.
