place a piece of string along the floor.
• The children stand next to the string.
• When you say BLUE! they jump on the
string. When you say WHITE! they jump
off.

Other uses for music
• Time limits: Play music and say “When the
song is finished, everybody needs to stop
coloring/ sit in their chair/ finish tidying up.”
• Background music: Let children absorb

coloring or playing.

sing, too.
