OUR MISSION:
To improve the scholastic, character and physical
development of urban youth by combining tennis instruction
and academic support with a focus on life skills.
WHERE YOUR DONATION IS GOING:
The parks of Newton Square, Crompton Park, Gaskill Field
and Clark University come alive during Tenacity’s six week
program of summer reading, tennis lessons, and fitness
activities. In 2014 alone, more than 500 of Worcester's
students ages 6-16 “unplugged” from video games and
walked away from “hang-outs” to read books such as “The
Indian in the Cupboard,” “Island of the Blue Dolphins,” and
“The Lightning Thief” to keep their reading comprehension
skills sharp, learn about healthy lifestyles, exercise and play
outdoor games.
