WHY THREADING?
Threading is an ancient technique of facial hair removal which uses a cotton
thread which is skillfully manipulated along the surface of the skin. It’s 100%
natural and the most accurate way to shape eyebrows. For those who are
imagining - no there are no needles involved, threading uses only a simple
cotton thread.

DO I NEED TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
Whilst you can just walk into one of our many salons across Perth to
experience the art of threading, we ask that you make an appointment for
facials, waxing, and eyelash extensions. To view our opening hours visit www.

IS IT PAINFUL?
Some people are more sensitive than others, but this technique is definitely
a lot less painful than waxing or tweezing. A lot of our customers say “this is
very relaxing and therapeutic”.
WILL IT MAKE MY SKIN RED?
Unlike waxing, threading does not peel or traumatise your skin, so it will
leave you with a very smooth skin, with minimum to no redness or irritation.
If slight redness does occur it generally disappears within 30 minutes.
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
Threading gives longer lasting results than waxing or tweezing simply because
all the hair, including the finest hair are removed from the follicle.
HOW CAN IT BE SO ACCURATE?
AND WHY IS IT MORE EFFICIENT THAN WAXING?
Unlike tweezing where a single hair is pulled out each time, threading can
remove an entire row of hair in a single action, giving a very precise and
defined shape. Waxing is incapable of removing the finest hair and will break
them, resulting in growth of thicker and darker hair.
DOES MY HAIR NEED TO BE LONG?
Hair does not need to be long, but just above the skin. Threading is even
capable of removing most of the ingrown hair.
HOW DO I KNOW WHICH SHAPE WILL SUIT ME?
At Zubias Threading®, our experienced team will advise you what brow shape
is appropriate for your face, looking at your morphology and carefully shape
your eyebrows in symmetry to enhance your look. The wrong shape can
draw attention to facial flaws whereas the perfect brows can transform a
look altogether. Eyebrow shaping can make you look younger and “lift”
your eyes. Remember that any desired shape, length and thickness can be
achieved.
IS THREADING JUST FOR THE EYEBROWS?
Threading is used on the entire face, including upper lip, chin, eyebrows and
cheeks. Since it is chemical free, it can reach those very delicate areas of the
face, ie just under the eye.
WHAT CAN I DO BEFORE MY THREADING SESSION?
•Gently exfoliate your skin to bring to surface those fine and stubborn hair.
This will ensure you have make most of your threading session.
•Keep your makeup handy as threading will remove makeup from the
treated area.
WHAT CAN I DO AFTER MY THREADING SESSION?
•Ensure you keep your skin nice and clean at least for the next 48 hours,
use a cleanser if required. This will ensure the dust particles do not enter
or block your skin pores.
•Moisturise your skin if required to avoid irritation from dry skin.
•Gently exfoliate your skin at the first sign of the hair regrowth to avoid
ingrown hair.

EYELASH PERMING

PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT
(LASH PERMING OR EXTENSIONS)
• Remove all eye make up and clean your lashes preferably with an oil free make
up remover.
• Discontinue use of heavy creams, lotion, vaseline around your eyes for
48 hours prior to your appointment.
• Remove contact lenses prior to your appointment.
• Please discuss any allergies, irritating eye treatments or issues with previous
lash tinting, extensions or perming prior to your appointment.
Please note once the treatment commences, your eyes are required to remain
closed, lay flat and be still for at least 60 minutes. Set aside ample time so you
don’t feel rushed. Treatments usually takes between 60 to 90 minutes.
AFTER-TREATMENT ADVICE
(LASH PERMING OR EXTENSIONS)
•Please do not wet your lashes for 24 hours.
• Please do not rub lashes when washing the face, only pat dry.
• Please do not use mascara and do not perm your lashes (eyelash extensions
only).
• Please do note apply cream or cleaners to the lashes at any time and only use
100% oil free make up remover.
• No swimming, steam, spa, hot baths for at least 48 hours

IS IT SAFE?
Yes. Henna is a natural herb renowned for its medicinal uses, especially as a
treatment for soothing skin irritations and minor burns. It is also well known
for being a fantastic conditioner, softening and smoothing the hair.
Natural henna always takes 2 days to reach its full colour. It begins as an
orange stain, then deepens to a reddish-brown colour, due to the oxidisation
process. Henna products which claim to give you other colours are NOT
completely natural. They contain additives (often chemicals) and can be
very harmful to your skin.
