PCC Daily Reflection Guide
Easter-Pentecost 2015 (Year B)
1. Set aside 2‐3 times each day as God in Life times – either morning/afternoon/evening, or morning/afternoon, morning/evening, or afternoon/evening 2. God in Life times may follow a simple pattern: a. Silence, stillness and focussing on God (e.g.2 minutes) b. Scripture reading (one of the readings for the day – see below) c. Reflect on the reading – what new insight have I learned? How may I apply it to my life? d. Prayer e. Conclude with silence 3. Quality is more important than quantity – whether God in Life times are 5 minutes or 30 minutes is not as important as the quality of your time spent with God. 4. Relationship is more important than form. This is a guide only. Spending time relating with the Father is what matters, not following a formula. 5. Grace prevails over legalism. If you miss a time, don’t beat up on yourself (or allow the enemy to do it), just pick it up the following day. 6. Be flexible. Whether you pick one of the daily readings and focus on this same reading each God in Life time during that day, or a different reading each time, or whether in some God in Life times, instead of a reading, you reflect on God’s Creation or listen to music, is entirely up to you – be true to how God has wired you!
