2015 Cross Country – Pegasus Lake
1:15-2:45 Wednesday 13th May.
On Wednesday 13th May, the whole school will be participating in our Pegasus Bay Cross Country event.
Children will be competing in year group races, across varying distances around the wonderful Pegasus
Lake. Children will be walking to and from the event in learning community groups. Postponement date will
be Thursday 14th May.
!
Races start with Te Kohaka (The Nest), running with the assistance of their Yr 8 buddies, through to the
main 3km event for Maungatere. If time allows, there will be a staff/parent race (Don’t worry, this will
not be 3kms).
!
The finishing line for the event will be just to the Northwest of the bridge for all competitors. This will
be the best place to view runners as they come over the bridge itself to the finishing line.
!
!
Certificates will be awarded to place getters in each event on the day.
After the certificates, children will return to school to collect their belongings and are then free to head
home.
