Perennial Peanut Field Day Saturday, June 6th, 2015 9:30 AM CDT registration $10 per person UF/IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center, Marianna, Florida The Perennial Peanut Producers Association and the University of Florida are teaming up to host a tour of ongoing perennial peanut research at the UF/IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center near Marianna, Florida. Registration begins at 9:30 AM CDT with the program starting at 10:00 AM. Field tours, Sponsor introductions, followed by lunch. After lunch, there will be an on-farm tour of Basford Farms that includes new varieties and equipment. Topics to be covered include: Producer panel Establishment into pastures/sod Herbicide management Variety Trials overall performance vigor, biological nitrogen fixing Visit a farm-size peanut hay and sprigging operation Directions: NFREC Marianna From I-10, take Exit #142 (State Road 71, Marianna). Go north on SR-71 for approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto US-90, heading west. Go about 3 miles, take SR-71 where the road branches off to the right. Follow SR-71 north for about 6 miles.
