Before arriving at Rockit Science Agency
to lead its creative team, Josh spent years
traveling and gaining experience across the
country. From islands off the West Coast
of California to the Colorado Mountains to
“the happiest place on Earth” in Orlando,
Josh has been influenced and shaped by his
adventurous spirit.
An observer by nature, Josh draws inspiration
from his surroundings, which he later
calls on when creating something new and
unique for his clients and their brands.
Josh’s commitment to excellence in creating
innovative and compelling communications
is paramount in the passion he demonstrates
daily. He continues to educate and sharpen
his advertising and design skills by attending
workshops, reading industry books and
researching design blogs.
Josh earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
from Louisiana State University in Baton
Rouge. He serves on the board for the
Louisiana State Museum Friends, and is a
member of Baton Rouge Area Chamber, AAF
(American Advertising Federation), and Forum
35. He lives in Baton Rouge with his wife.

Trace Hallowell is the founder of Tactical
Magic, the brand identity specialist firm.
A twenty-year veteran of the business, his
work has received hundreds of honors from
national and international award juries,
including The One Show, Communication
Arts Advertising and Design Annuals, the
London and New York Festivals, Graphis,
Clio, Athena, LogoLounge and Obies. His
work has also been published in numerous
books, magazines and college textbooks.
Over the years, Mr. Hallowell has developed
effective campaigns in all media for clients
including First Tennessee, Fulmer Helmets,
McDonald’s, Memphis Car Audio, My Next
Phase, Pepsi Americas, Russell Athletic,
Thomas & Betts and Valvoline.
After a stint in journalism alongside learning
to be an Iowa farmer, Lori moved to Tucson,
Arizona, and began freelancing as a graphic
designer. Her design education began on
the job at a small private college in Iowa,
working in public relations and finding her
passion in design. She is largely self-taught,
learning from mentors and by studying the
work of others.
Lori’s clients range from corporations to
small businesses to nonprofits, plus plenty
of pro bono work. Her designs have been
recognized with numerous Addy awards,
including Judge’s Choice and Best of Show
awards. She also pursues fine art projects
collage, painting, assemblages, clay
sculpture, jewelry and often incorporates
these influences in her work.
A native of Denver, Colorado, and a graduate
in political science from Duke University,
Lori has a daughter living in Iowa.
