At the LaGrange Association Library we prepare all year for the busy summer months.
We offer a little something for just about everyone...all with the power of your LaGrange
Library card.
(845) 452-3141
Fizz Boom Read, the NYS Summer Reading Program for children ages toddler
to 18 years begins June 13th and runs until August 15th. This year
a fun, bingo styled card will encourage our children to be actively
reading, and thus combating the “summer slide.” (Statistically,
children who do not read over the summer will lose more than two
months of reading achievement or roughly 22% of instructional time.
Cumulatively, by the end of 6th grade, children who lose reading
skills over the summer will be 2 years behind their classmates.)

Library programs, helped defray
programming costs, provided support
for our Summer Reading Programs
and so much more.
Thank you to all who purchase preloved books from our recent sales,
who make donations or who support
the Friends membership drive. We are
looking for LaGrange residents to join us in our efforts. Time
commitments can vary to sorting books, researching the catalog,
etc. Please contact the Library Director for more information at
