Auditions for the 2015 football season will be held on June 7th, 2015 and June 14th, 2015 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Irish Centre of Pittsburgh in Squirrel Hill. The Steeline was started in 2012 by co-directors Vince Wallace and Dustin Lowes as a professional, entertainment drumline. The drumline works with the Pittsburgh Steelers organization to create energetic and exciting live music entertainment for Steelers fans to enjoy on game day. The Steeline performs live from inside Heinz Field during each Steelers home game, and also gives several performances in and around Heinz Field before and after each game. Members are compensated for their time. In addition, the Steeline performs at a variety of additional Steelers and Heinz Field functions, including past performances at Steelers training camp, Steelers Style Fashion Show, Fan Blitz, Heinz Field Rib Fest, and the Heinz Field 4th of July Celebration. Other credits throughout the city include performances at Monster Jam Pittsburgh, The Pittsburgh Marathon, The Pittsburgh Donnybrook, and several major downtown parades including St. Patrick’s Day Parade, My Macy’s Holiday Parade, Columbus Day Parade, and the First Night Pittsburgh Parade. Prospective members should have prior experience playing in drumlines and must be at least 18 years old to audition.
