Our quest to recapture the White House in 2016 began with one of the most successful Lincoln Day Dinners the Republican Party of Pinellas County has ever seen. The event attracted 392 attendees and raised over $140,000. It was a memorable evening-one which I am sure we will remember fondly in MONDAY April 13, 2015 Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee Meeting 6 PM Member Orientation 7 PM Meeting Begins Banquet Masters 13355 49th Street North Clearwater, FL 33763 PCREC OFFICE HOURS 9 AM to 2 PM Monday—Friday CONTENTS Page 1—Chairman’s Message Page 2—Karen Jaroch Club Corner—NPRC Page 3—Calendar Page 4—Lincoln Day Dinner Page 5—Habitat for Humanity RPOF Quarterly PCREC Vice Chairman Page 6—Julie Daniels years to come. I want to thank our Master of Ceremonies, former Mayor of St. Petersburg Rick Baker; our speakers, US Congressman Gus Bilirakis and David Jolly; and our keynote speaker, Florida CFO Jeff Atwater. They all did an incredible job articulating how important it is for Republicans to stand united, find limited government solutions to strengthen our country and focus on supporting all of our Republican candidates in 2016 so that we can take our country back and win the White House. I also want to thank all of our dedicated volunteers who made this incredible event a success, and a special thank you goes to our Executive Director Charlotte Smith who worked tirelessly to make sure this was the best event we’ve had in many years. The next few months, the Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee will focus on prioritizing elements of our strategic plan so we can continue building this organization towards a successful 2016. I look forward to working with each one of you and it’s vital we stay united, focused, and passionate. Notes from the PCREC Vice Chair: We have long overlooked municipal elections, perhaps because of their non-partisan label. However, as you know, there is no such thing as a non-partisan race. That is why the PCREC has created a task force to analyze how we can have the greatest impact on the municipal level. We are researching the governments, legislative bodies and issues in each municipality and are developing a plan for prioritizing our offensive and defensive involvement both in the short term and long term. The ultimate goal is for the Republican Party to have an influential and sustained presence in our municipalities and to build a bench of future Republican leaders. As part of this plan, we are also looking at how to cultivate Republican caucuses and leaders within Pinellas County’s civic, charitable and professional organizations. We are even going so far as to build a team of volunteers to attend every council and commission meeting to help us better understand the issues facing our municipalities and to evaluate those presently serving in an elected capacity. This is just the beginning, and I look forward to accomplishing great things with you. —Todd Jennings, PCREC Vice Chairman ON THE MOVE!
