What is the structure of the CPT Exam
A Multiple choice test of 200 marks structured as follows:
Session I : Section A : Fundamentals of Accounting
Section B: Mercantile Law
60 marks
40 marks
Session II : Section C: General Economics
Section D: Quantitative Aptitude
50 marks
50 marks
Every question carries 1 mark. Every wrong answer carries a Negative Mark of -0.25 marks.
A candidate is required to secure a minimum of 30% marks in each subject and a minimum of
50% marks in aggregate in all four subjects to pass the Test.

CPT Tests are conducted regularly throughout the year. Once the syllabus is completed, students
are subjected to 10 full portion tests across all subjects in the month of May covering 2,000 +
questions.
