WENDY GRANT, AICP
Associate Principal
Wendy is a versatile planner whose more than 15 years of professional experience
include several local jurisdictions as well as the private sector. Her winning
interpersonal skills and passion for working with the public make her a natural in
the area of community participation, visioning, and relationship building. She
successfully manages projects of a diverse variety and scale—general plan updates,
master planning, and entitlement coordination. She recently completed the general
updates for the Town of Yucca Valley and City of Menifee’s inaugural general plan,
which was a significant achievement for the community.
Wendy currently serves as the Project Manager for the Southeast Area Specific
Plan (SEADIP) for the City of Long Beach; covering an area that has historically
been controversial because of the complex traffic, designated wetlands, and
redevelopment issues affecting the project site.
Wendy has managed over 15 specific plans—including the Moran Street Specific
Plan in Little Saigon, a mixed-use infill development where she helped develop an
outreach program that earned the trust of a divided community and unanimous
adoption of the plan. She also served as an advisor to Five Point Communities on
the draft development code for the Great Park Neighborhoods and worked with the
County of Orange to develop a highest and best use study and conceptual land use
alternatives for the county’s 100-acre parcel at El Toro.
