Since 1975, the Tour has always finished on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. s m r e t key Peloton – The main group of cyclists. Broom Wagon – The vehicle at the rear of the caravan that ‘sweeps up’ any riders who are unable to finish the stage or fall behind the time limit. Yellow Jersey Overall leader, based on lowest cumulative time. Green Jersey Overall leader based on points. Polka Dot Jersey ‘King of the Mountains’ based on points gained from mountain climbs. White Jersey Rider under age 26 with the fastest overall time. King of the Mountains (KOM) – Points are gained by reaching the top of a designated climb first. Sprints – Short sections on the flat, which have been pre-identified, where riders will sprint for a line to gain points towards the green jersey. e l t u o r e c l trave s l n i w a e r e Tour de Francing Essex road f e d r Th follow 5pm tou e h t g .5 alon am – 2 0.45 Uttlesford District from 1 Enter Essex on B184 and into Saffron Walden Turn left at traffic lights on High St into George St / Hill St Continue into East St then B1053 Radwinter Rd In Radwinter, the B1053 becomes B1054 Just east of Radwinter turn right onto B1053 and continue until it becomes B1051 west of Gt Sampford In Gt Sampford turn left onto B1053 again Braintree District Continue on B1053 through Finchingfield onto Wethersfield, and turn right to stay on B1053 Continue on B1053 until Church End, then turn right on to unnamed road towards Shalford Green Continue to Rayne, through Duckend Green Enter Rayne on Shalford Rd, go across at traffic lights into Gore Rd Turn right into New Road and follow it until it becomes School Rd and goes over A120 Uttlesford District Continue through Bannister Green towards Felsted where you take Braintree Rd In centre of Felsted turn left into Chelmsford Rd B1417 Continue until you turn left onto B1008 Chelmsford District At roundabout take second exit into Main Rd Continue through Howe St and in centre of Gt Waltham turn right into South St South St becomes Breeds Rd and goes through Fanners Green and Chignal Smealy At junction turn left into Woodhall Hill which turns into Chignal Rd At junction turn right and continue on Chignal Rd At traffic lights turn right into Roxwell Rd A1060 Continue on A1060 before turning left into Vicarage Rd and through Roxwell Vicarage Rd turns into The Street and then Elms Rd Epping Forest District Elms Rd becomes Shellow Rd and goes through Shellow Bowells Continue on Shellow Rd which becomes Dukes Ln, then left into Birds Green Turn left onto Dunmow Rd B184 Continue on B184 which becomes Ongar Rd, then turn right into Moreton Rd at Clatterford End Stay on Moreton Rd which becomes Fyfield Rd then Maltings Hill Continue through Moreton on Church Rd, which becomes Harlow Rd before turning left into Wind Hill Turn left into Weald Bridge Rd Continue across roundabout towards North Weald and Epping on High Rd B181 Stay on High Rd which becomes Epping Rd and goes under M11 At traffic lights turn left towards Epping on B1393 Stay on Epping High St, then High Rd on B1393 going over M25 Bell Common Tunnel B1393 becomes Epping Rd, at roundabout go straight over into Epping New Rd A104 Stay on A104 and leave Essex to s g r n i e th b m e rem Roads on the route will be closed from early morning to late afternoon to all vehicles except the emergency services.
