SANDY DAVIS
Sandy Davis currently is an Executive Officer with
the Govenor’s Office of Homeland Evacuation and
Sheltering and a motivational speaker who lives by
the motto. “The highest reward for your work is not
what you get from it but what you become from
it.”
Following a lengthy career with the Shreveport Fire
Department, Sandy led the Office of Homeland
Security and Emergency Preparedness for the
Caddo-Bossier Parishes of Louisiana and held
critical roles in emergencies such as Hurricane
Katrina and Rita (2005), Hurricanes Gustav and
Ike (2008), the BP Oil Spill (2010), the Mississippi
River Flooding (2011) and Hurricane Isaac (2012).
Fire Chief Dan Paulsen describes Sandy as the
eptiome of integrity in leadership and is proud to
call him a personal friend.
