SPRING WALK AND HIKES PORTLAND CROP WALK TO COMBAT HUNGER On Sunday, May 3, at 1:00 p.m. with the support of the local community, The First Congregational Church of Portland will hold a town-wide CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) Hunger Walk in order to take action against hunger. All people in the community are welcome to participate! This year the walk is 3.2 miles and starts at First Congregational Church, 554 Main Street. Registration begins at 1:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the youngest and oldest walker, the walker who raises the most money and the walker who collects the most food items for the Portland Food Bank. The food items can be dropped off in the collection box at Tri Town or at First Cong.
