To avoid the spread of germs please reinforce hand washing routines with your children. Please remember that when a child is absent from school as a result of sickness or diarrhoea then they should not return to school until 48 hours after the symptoms have stopped. School Fundraising Sponsored Event To help raise funds for a whole school end of term activity, each class will be organising a class sponsored event. The sponsored event will involve children learning poems, tables or other activities. Each child will have a sponsor form explaining their fundraising event. Any donation, no matter how small will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support. Uniform An order form for 2015/16 is attached to this newsletter. We ask that payment is made at the time of ordering. Cheques can be made out to Portsoy Primary School Fund or payment can also be in cash but we do ask that it is for the exact amount. All uniform orders should be returned to the school office by Thursday, 2nd April. Please remember there is also a range of pre-loved uniforms available from the Parent Council. Head Lice Due to the unavoidable close contact that children have with one another in school, head lice has once more become a recurring issue in school. The school can only act on information received from parents by issuing letters to inform families to be extra vigilant. Please inform the school as soon as possible. It is very important to check your child’s head on a regular (daily) basis. Please also make extended family members aware. Parents and Carers can also contact the Health Visitor, GP or pharmacist for more information on how to best to treat head lice. We encourage children with long hair to have it tied back to reduce the risk of lice spreading.
