The square can be busy so please plan for extra time to park and walk to the theatre. All Dancers-­ Please check-­in at our welcome desk in the lobby of the Strand Theater. All Dancers will be directed from the lobby to their assigned dressing room area. Following the show, all dancers will be released to a parent at the front of theater. Please only have one parent collect each dancer and have other family and guests meet you in the lobby. All dancers should arrive in costume with hair and make-­up done. If they have more than one costume, please arrive in the FIRST costume. A show order list will be posted at the studio and also at Dress Rehearsal. Please label all costumes, shoes, hairpieces etc. with dancer’s name. You will be given a separate packet with your costume that will have all the details you need regarding tights, shoes, hair style and makeup. Additionally, hair and makeup tutorials will be posted on our website under the recital tab. You will get this information with your costume. Is located at: 117 N Park Square, Marietta GA 30060 Where to park: There may be street parking available around the square, but that fills up quickly. There is a parking garage located on Cherokee Street near Bank of America. It is within close walking distance of the Strand. Please note: on Friday and Saturday evening there will be concerts at the stage in the square. These start at 8pm, however people tend to arrive early to find seating. Allow for extra time to park and get to the theater on time. All dancers must be checked in a ½ hour before the start of each show. P
5 Group and Individual Photos We are proud to offer photos by a new photographer this year at
Powerhouse Dance. Larry Coleman will be at our studio to capture group
and individual images on May 19th and 20th held at Powerhouse Studio.
He holds a BFA in Photography from the Cleveland Institute of Arts and
has experience working for dance companies in the Midwest, Los Angeles
and now Atlanta.
All groups should plan to arrive in costume w/light makeup (DO NOT
wear full stage makeup for recital photos)
Please plan to attend the group photo session even if you do not plan
to purchase pictures as we would like to have photos of all our
dancers with their group.
TO AVOID ANY EXTRA EDITING AND ASSOCIATED FEES:
- Cut loose strings/threads from shoes, leotards, costumes, etc.
- Check teeth for lipstick
- See that no straps or undergarments show
- Use Hair Spray to prevent ‘frizzies’
- CLEAN dance shoes with strings tucked in
- Check for runs and holes in tights
For Miss Erin and Miss Jaye’s Preschool Combo classes, dancers will
take their group picture in their ballet costume but you may take
individuals in either ballet or tap costume.

In order to make each child’s recital experience a great one, we want the child to be
able to dance on the theater stage at least once in full costume – including hairstyle
and dance shoes – prior to the big show.
Where: The Strand Theater
When: Thursday May 28th– rehearsal time attached
Please arrive at the rehearsal a half hour early. Dancers will check in at the welcome table at the back of the theater. Each dancer
will given an assigned row with their class in the theater. These assigned areas are
for dancers only. It is very important that the class stay together as a group so that
we can keep our rehearsal on schedule. Please plan on dress rehearsal lasting one
hour from check in through dismissal.
Dress rehearsal is a great time to take videos and/or flash photography as neither is
allowed during the actual recital.
PLEASE PLAN EXTRA TIME FOR TRAFFIC AND PARKING, WE ARE
NOT ABLE TO RERUN DANCES IF SOMEONE IS LATE.
For all Ms. Jaye, Ms. Madison and Ms. Erin’s Preschool Combo Classes (levels
1 and 2)- In order to keep our rehearsal running on time, we will run the dances in
their ballet costume and ballet shoes only. This means they will do their tap dance in
their full ballet attire. There will be no need for the dancers to change into their tap
shoes or tap costume.
For Ms. Christie’s Preschool Combo 2 Class- Please arrive in your tap costume
and tap shoes, but bring your ballet shoes. You will practice the tap dance first and
will leave on the costume but change to ballet shoes to practice ballet.

The first DVD costs $35, cost of two discs is $65 and for all three discs

10 TICKETS In Celebration of our Powerhouse 10th Anniversary, we wanted to make our recital experience extra special! We opted for the timeless cozy glamour of the historic Strand Theater. In order to make this experience possible for everyone and ensure proper seating for all guests, we will have assigned seating for all shows. (please note: no tickets needed to watch our solo company show). 4 complementary ticket vouchers are included in your dancer’s recital fees and additional tickets may be preordered. The seat selection for voucher redemptions and additional ticket purchases will begin at midnight on May 11th and last until midnight on May 24th. Each family will be given a code to enter online to select seating for complementary tickets and then additional tickets may be purchased at this time as well. We will send out further instruction prior to May 11. Online tickets will no longer be available after May 24th. Ticket will be sold at doors, if available, at the regular ticket price.
