Accreditation
and accreditation badges
Accreditation
badge
All Russian and foreign journalists wishing to take part
in coverage of the international events dedicated to
celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Victory in the Great
Patriotic War of 1941–1945 must complete the accreditation
form found on the official celebration website
press.may9.ru in the section entitled “Journalist
accreditation.” Accreditation will take place from
16 March until 5 pm on 15 April 2015.
The lower portion of the
sleeve contains a pocket for
the plastic pool card, which
authorises the journalist to
participate in the work of
a specific pool.
Upon arrival in Moscow, members of the media who
have submitted accreditation forms within the specified
timeframe and according to the established procedure will
receive their accreditation badges at the Accreditation
Centre. Media personnel working as part of official pools can
receive their accreditation badges from the representatives
of their respective delegations.
The Accreditation Centre is located at the following
address:
12 Krasnopresnenskaya Naberezhnaya (WTC)
Phone: +7 (495) 967 06 54
Business hours:
6 May from 8 am to 10 pm
7 May from 8 am to 10 pm
8 May from 8 am to 10 pm
9 May from 6 am to 10 pm
Possession of an accreditation badge is a
mandatory precondition to working at the
press centre and taking part in pool activities.
12
The accreditation badge is
a clear-plastic sleeve whose
upper portion contains a
plastic card, which serves
as the journalist’s personal
ID for the duration of
celebratory events.
If the accreditation badge
is lost, the concerned party
should immediately report
to the International Media
Centre – if the badge
was lost there – or to
the Accreditation Centre
(12 Krasnopresnenskaya
Naberezhnaya – WTC), if the
badge was lost in the city.
Transfer of the accreditation
badge to other people is
strictly prohibited and will
result in the nullification of
accreditation.

Coordination
of media pools
In view of the large number of guests
arriving to celebrate the 70th Anniversary
of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and
considering the limited space available at
the venues of related events, they can only
be covered by journalists forming part of
strictly-limited pools.
Most media members will have the opportunity
to engage in the real-time monitoring
of programme events at the press centre.
Pool participation for journalists from each
country will be determined on the basis
of quotas, which will be equal for all such
nations. Access to pool events will be
provided strictly according to the respective
pool cards, as distributed by representatives
of the Organising Committee. Unused
quotas for each pool will be distributed
directly among interested journalists.
TV and radio production and
broadcast facility coordination
Within the scope of coverage of events celebrating the
70th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War,
arrangements have been made for an International
Electronic-Press Centre (hereinafter – the International
Broadcasting Centre, or “IBC”), located in the Manezh
building.
The IBC is outfitted with a full suite of equipment allowing
for the production of international TV programmes, video
recording and editing. International TV programmes consist
of direct broadcast signals and video recordings of the main
celebratory events.
At your request, booths for the electronic media can be
added at the IBC (requests accepted until 20 April 2015).
The radio booths have acoustic interiors – the TV booths
do not.

The Moscow Kremlin is one of the
biggest architectural ensembles in the world and consists of
monuments and landmarks built over the course of nearly
five centuries: from the end of the 15th century to the 20th
century. The Moscow Kremlin was historically the residence
of the authorities and it now serves as the official residence
of the President of Russia.

Metro stations: Borovitskaya, Biblioteka

The size of the square is 150 х 400 m.
The market square in front of the main
gates of the Kremlin fortifications was
already a bustling centre of commerce
by the second half of the 14th century. All structures in the
square were wooden. Stone buildings instead of the wooden
structures were only put up on Red Square at the end of the
18th century – beginning of the 19th century, at which time
the square was cobbled. Today, Red Square is a central site
for celebrating national holidays, parades, concerts, and
excursions.

It took 40 years to build the Cathedral
of Christ the Saviour: from 1849 to
1889. It became the main cathedral
in Russia, built to commemorate the
victory over Napoleon’s army in the Patriotic War of 1812.
In 1931, the Cathedral was destroyed by Stalin’s order. It was
completely restored in 1998.
Donskoy Monastery is a monastery
of the Russian Orthodox Church. The
Monastery was founded in 1591 in honour
of St. Sergius of Radonezh. Legend has
it that St. Sergius blessed grand prince Dmitry Ioannovich
to engage in the Battle of Kulikovo near the Don River in
1380. And that was how the Monastery got its name. The
Monastery has been under the jurisdiction of the Moscow
Patriarchate since 1991.
