Hui Ho’olana Hui Ho’olana Retreat Center encompasses 77 secluded acres of rain forest, orchards, and organic gardens on Hawaii’s remote island of Moloka’i. You’ll paint in a tranquil yurt surrounded by native Hawaiian flowers and trees. During breaks, you’ll relax in the rock swimming pool, hike, snorkel, and explore the island beaches. Extraordinary meals are served by the resident professional chef. Awakening the Creative This program is for those who want to explore their creative process in a small group and exquisitely secluded environment. The goal is free expression, with the emphasis on in-depth self-exploration leading to pivotal insight and authentic change. This retreat provides the opportunity to really make a break from the pace and pressure of busy lives. The foundation of this intensive is deep relaxation and creative awakening—in the painting process, in the nurturing environment, in small-group interactions, and in opening to the unknown on many levels. Group size is limited to 16. Hui Ho’olana is truly a magical experience of ‘old Hawaii’ that gently yet insistently quiets the heart and soothes the soul. Stewart’s workshop is the only one held on the grounds during this period, and the entire staff is devoted to providing a quality experience on all levels. We feel very lucky to have the opportunity to offer this residential retreat to you, and we believe it’s a perfect safe haven for the profound personal inquiry at the heart of the painting experience.
