The AK suspension guarantees an optimum adhesion of the prosthesis to the body and gives users with
transfemoral amputation more comfort and security with every movement. The support bandage is
easy to put on; it is pulled over the socket and fixed in the lumbar region with two hook-and-loop fasteners. This reduces the rotational and lifting motions of the prosthesis, optimises guiding and controlling, and improves force transmission when walking. Its resilience and dimensional stability provide
the prosthesis with increased wearer comfort and stability. The bandage is available in two different
designs – in the standard version (21B3) and in a version that, especially from a material point of view,
represents a further development of the already proven Ottobock AK suspension (21B37). Beyond that,
this optimised design has additional buckles for perfectly fixing the bandage to the body.

The pelvic belt made of polyamide and elastane
is fastened with hook-and-loop straps and additionally with buckles. The Neoprene® adhesive
tape on the distal end gives the support bandage
the necessary support and stability.
The fit is individually adjustable via the intuitive, high-strength hook-and-loop fastener and
extra buckles on the pelvic belt.
• Breathable, thin materials and a simultaneously
high abrasion resistance guarantee a high wearing comfort of the pelvic belt.
• The low weight of the bandage allows an optimal body perception and movement control.
• The Neoprene® adhesive tape ensures a secure
hold of the prosthesis.
• Additional padding for edge protection
• The bandage is available in different designs,
depending for example on the side or the socket
edge.
• The latex free bandage can be machine washed
at 40 °C/104 °F, gentle cycle.

The pelvic belt made from double laminated
Neoprene® is perfectly closed with hook-and-loop
fasteners. These bandage designs are less expensive versions and are suitable as entry level
models. The Neoprene® adhesive tape on the distal end gives the support bandage the necessary
support and stability.
The fit is individually adjustable via the intuitive, high-strength hook-and-loop fastener on
the pelvic belt.
