Progeny International was formed in 2003. Progeny was a spin off from Reptron
Electronics Inc. Progeny was formed for the express purpose of sourcing products from the
Asian market. Since 2003 our team has strengthened our Asian supply chain. We now offer
build to print cable assemblies as well as electronic components. This has significantly
increased savings for our EMS and OEM partners.
In 2006 Michael L. Musto founder of Reptron Electronics Inc. took over operations of
Progeny. Michael L. Musto has been in the electronics industry for more than 40 years. With
his vast experience in the industry, Michael has moved Progeny away from being your typical
independent distributor, and has created a hybrid independent distributor with franchised
product lines. Progeny now supports 3 franchised lines as well as direct purchasing from
several manufactures.
Progeny has signed franchised agreements with 3 Manufacturers. We are proud to
announce our partnership with Intouch Electronics LLC. Intouch is a display manufacturer.
They make displays from 2.2” up to 46”. Intouch also offers touch screen integration, control
board solutions, and can high-bright up to 1,500 nits. Intouch displays have been tested and
approved to be used in automotive applications as well as in Automated Teller Machines
(ATM's).
Progeny has also signed an agreement with APS Advanced Printing Solutions. APS
specializes in the design and manufacturing of thermal printer mechanisms, controller boards,
and custom thermal printer solutions. APS has pioneered many innovations such as their
patented easy loading mechanisms and lever system, single flex cable connectors, compact
kiosk modules, flat mechanisms, and high performance/low cost control board architecture.
Progeny is now franchised for Power-Sonic batteries. Power-Sonic is a leading force in
the global battery business. They have been in business for more than 40 years. The company
has thrived due to its commitment to provide high quality cost effective batteries, backed by a
level of service that is second to none. Power-Sonic product offering covers products from
emergency lighting and medical equipment to personal watercraft and power tools. Chances
are, whatever your needs are, Power-Sonic will have the perfect battery for the job.
Progeny has added a test house into the supply chain. We have contracted with AAA
Components Laboratory LLC. Products coming from Asia are now being tested in either China
or the U.S. Visual inspections are no longer enough to safe guard your supply chain. The test
lab can use up to 6 different tests to ensure you're supply chain is never compromised.

Taipei, Taiwan. This structure combined with our continually growing team of representative and distribution

APS Advanced Printing Systems specializes in the design and
manufacturing of OEM thermal printer mechanisms, controller
boards, and custom thermal printer solutions.
Easy Loading Mechanisms (ELM) line
provides a compact, ergonomic design
that facilitates quick paper
replacement and minimizes service
calls caused by jamming. The ELM line
also boasts the smallest thermal printer
mechanism in the world, the 5V
Super Small (SS) 200, and the ultra
compact FM (Flat Mechanism) series.
The Line Printer Mechanism series have
been introduced by EFT POS market:
centred paper path, single flex-cable wiring,
compact design and high reliability.
These mechanisms are available
in standard 1,2, 3 and 4
inch-widths, and 5 or 24
volts. Print resolution of
203 and 300 dpi are offered.
APS has created an extensive product line to meet the
demands of most applications. APS is the only company in the

Counterfeit / Refurbished Product Detection Program
Progeny has implemented our counterfeit / refurbished detection program. All products not coming from a
franchised source are first visually inspected. If the product fails our visual inspection it is either rejected back to
the supplier or sent out to an independent test lab.
Progeny is proud to announce its partnership with AAA Components Test Lab LLC. AAACTL has two
locations. The first is right here in the Tampa Bay area. The other is in China. AAACTL has become an intricate
part of Progeny’s' supply chain. We are working harder than ever to keep Counterfeit or Refurbished product out
of your supply chain.
We also include a 9-12 page test report on products that have been tested through AAACTL.
We are implementing these processes with our ISO certification. Progeny is working harder so you don't have to.

Each order is visually inspected from part count
verification to carrier type and condition, humidity
indicator and desiccant, and proper packaging. The
individual pieces are inspected for proper
markings, date codes, country of origins, secondary
coatings, lead condition, sand marks, construction
defects, foreign or displaced materials, logo
condition, and logo placement.
HCT is a process using a unique chemical, heated to
specific temperature, causing partially cured or
gelled urethanes to dissolve. This dissolving
process exposes surface sanding, cracks,
inconsistent laser marks, chips, and filled pin one
indicators.
We use advance programmer with the largest
device support in the industry, over 47,000+ IC
devices from 208 manufacturers. Device
supported, EPROM, Parallel and Serial EEPROM,
FPGA Configuration Serial PROM, Flash Memory,
BPROM, NOVRAM, SPLD, CPLD, EPLD, Micro
controller, MCU and Standard Logic
Decapsulation will expose the die in any plastic IC package
by etching away the die’s plastic covering. This process
will allow us to see if there is actually a die inside the
package. Decap. will also show die topography,
manufacturer markings, copyright date, part number,
consistency in die size from different date codes, and bond
wires.
We offer wide range of components testing, ranging from
a “Basic” level parametric test to, “Verification” of the
device to Mil STD 883. AAA Lab also specializes in the
verification of complex FPGA, CPLD and PLA devices.
This is a real time non-destructive analysis to examine the
components internal hardware. We verify the lead-frame,
die sizes, wire bonds diagram integrity, ESD damage and
voids. We are also able to compare another part currently
in use by customer, or previous lots from trusted
suppliers. In this industry manufacturers can change the
lead-frame, die size, and wire bonding schemes without
notice.
