YOUNG WRITERS’ WORKSHOP STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP provided by the SHENANDOAH UNIVERSITY CLAUDE MOORE LITERACY GRANT We are pleased to offer a limited number of one day scholarships for our June 22 – 26, 2015 Summer Young Writers’ Workshop, made possible by the Claude Moore Literacy Grant through Shenandoah University. TO APPLY: Step #1 – Applicants must write at least a one-‐paragraph (5-‐7 sentence) response to the question, “Why do you want to attend Project Write’s Young Writers’ Workshop?” All responses should be either submitted online at www.projectwrite.org or emailed to [email protected] by May 29, 2015, and should include the following information: Student Name, Address, Phone Number, School, Parent/Guardian Name, Date(s) of Workshop(s) you would like to attend, and the name of the teacher who will be completing Step #2. If emailing, please write “Student Scholarship Application” followed by your last name in the Subject line of the email. Step #2 – Applicants must have a teacher write a paragraph response explaining how the scholarship would be beneficial for the student. You can detach the bottom portion of this form and give it to your teacher for instruction. Applicants will receive an initial email confirming the receipt of his or her application (both the student response and the teacher recommendation) and will be notified of acceptance via email by June 5, 2015.
