Features & Benefits
The ProMAX Platform Portable is a unique mobile server that allows creative groups
to connect their existing attached storage devices and transform them into a simple
but sophisticated shared editing environment. Content from the attached drives can
be shared out to the workgroup over video optimized 1GbE and 10GbE connections
using the ProMAX Platform Software. Storage devices can be connected to the
server via Thunderbolt, USB, eSATA, FireWire and SAS, and all common file systems
including Apple HFS+, FAT32 and NTFS are supported.
The browser-based Platform software is compatible with Mac OSX, Windows and
Linux clients and enables users to easily access content and manage the system from
anywhere on the network. The Platform software also serves to manage media
assets for any storage devices that may be used with the system. Connected drives
can be indexed and files catalogued for easy searching regardless of whether the
drives are online or offline. In addition to reading the existing metadata, custom tags
can be added to individual files and proxies can be generated for preview.
Platform Portable is built tough to perform on location and features a rugged steel
construction with anti-static padding. It is lightweight and small enough to fit easily
into airline overhead bins and each server comes with its own custom travel bag.
Platform Portable was designed to help creative groups be more organized and
efficient, to enable real-time sharing of media and greater collaboration no matter
what the content and where it is located. Beyond this, Platform Portable has the
ability to accelerate the content creation process by managing multiple workflow
tasks such as transcoding and rendering. Use Platform Portable to transcode media
at ingest and delivery or to render out projects from After Effects and Cinema 4D.

Catalog & Search Your Media
Media across all drives can be indexed by the server and files
catalogued for easy searching regardless of whether the drives
are online or offline. Custom tags can be added to existing
metadata to further define searches.
Proxy Preview
Low-Res Proxy files can be automatically generated for all
catalogued media. Preview clips in full screen mode before
adding them to projects.

Platform Portable features rugged steel construction but at L
(12.3”) x W (18.4”) x H (2.93”) and 10.75lbs it is lightweight and
small enough to take on the plane or in the car, wherever you
need to share content.
