Last April, Boston Proper and the Achievement Centers for Children
& Families (ACCF) held our Sixth Annual Proper Affair. Over the past
six years, we have raised over $650K in support of ACCF. I say “we”
because this would not have been possible without the support and
generous contribution from our partners like you!
The mission of the Achievement Centers is to ensure school readiness,
provide skill-building opportunities, promote academic achievement and
support healthy lifestyles. Their award-winning services and nationally
accredited programs, provide over 800 children and 500 adults with
life-changing opportunities for a better future. The Achievement Centers
helps prepare tomorrow’s future leaders while helping families achieve
and maintain economic self-sufficiency and increase overall stability.
The 2015 Proper Affair will take place on Thursday, April 16th at
The Addison in Boca Raton. The night brings guests together for great
food, drinks and a runway show featuring the faces behind Boston Proper
and fashions from our never-before-seen summer collection.

Sponsorship comes in many forms. You can donate
silent auction items and raffle prizes such as destination
vacations, high-end product baskets, gift certificates,
jewelry and other luxury items as well as printing and
design services. Know that your in-kind donation helps
to offset the cost of the event and ultimately directs
more proceeds to the Achievement Centers.
Achievement Centers for Children & Families celebrates a rich 45-year history
in Delray Beach. The Center was part of a defining moment in the city’s history —
a moment that began with recognition of a problem and a desire to make a difference.
In 1969, a group of concerned citizens recognized that low-income working mothers
had no place to take their children. Since opening our doors, the Center has grown
from two teachers serving 20 children in 1969 to serving more than 900 youth and
their families with over 90 employees. Thousands of families and children have been
touched by our services.
2014 Achievement Centers Accomplishments
99% of the students in our afterschool programs were
promoted to the next grade
85% of toddlers demonstrate progress toward school readiness skills
80% of preschoolers have met or exceeded the benchmarks
for public school entry
96% of parents have gained knowledge or skills on
finances, parenting and healthy living because of
our Family Strengthening programming
90% of parents have a greater connection to ACCF because
of our Family Strengthening programming
178,000 free meals are served each year
88¢ of every dollar goes into direct services
Nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education
of Young Children (NAEYC), a distinction held since 1995
