Knitting is a multi-faceted like-skill which utilizes reading, math, science, art, and history. Many educational studies have shown that knitting has helped increase math and reading skills. Ms. Trumpbour will increase the enthusiasm of the student by taking a field trip to the local yarn shop where students will learn about different yarns and the variety of patterns available. Award winning, innovative piano introduction course offers fun, imaginative, and enjoyable learning experience for young beginners. Teach them “right” from the beginning. Music for Little Mozart’s curriculum is specifically designed to teach young beginners using combination of a piano, music and movement. Singing and listening skills are developed simultaneously with an appreciation for musical styles. MMDA will provide the keyboards, stands and benches. Classes will start with the fundamentals, students will play simple chords and melodies. We’ll work on strumming simple songs both popular and traditional music. Class members will learn to play songs in folk, rock and Hawaiian styles. Also covered: tuning, ukulele care, and basic strums. No prerequisites, but a ukulele is required.
