MUNSTER HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENT

IMPORTANT INFO: The last day of school will be on Friday, May 29 th.
STUDENT PARKING PERMITS
We will be collecting applications for the 2015/2016 school year during lunch periods through Thursday, May 7th. Please pick up
forms in advance in Student Services. You must have a completed driving application and parent signature, a valid driver’s license or
learner’s permit and pay the $3.00 parking fee.
ATHLETICS
DANCE TEAM CALL OUTS: Any dancer interested in trying out for the MHS 2015-16 dance team, there will be a callout meeting
today, May 6th in the Resource room from 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm. If you cannot make it contact Ms. Banas at [email protected]
or call her at the middle school.
CLUB
CRIER: Wondering where the senior class will be going next year or the senior class bests? Seniors, make sure to check your email
for senior superlatives voting is finished and the votes are counted. Pick up the senior edition of Crier to find out the results! Issues
will be sold for $1.00 on Friday, May 8th.
GERMAN CLUB: There will be a field trip to the Chicago Fire game on Saturday, May 9th. The cost for this activity is $20 and
permission slips are available in S168. Money and permission slips are due by Friday, May 1st.
BEST BUDDIES: We will host the 5th Annual Northwest Indiana Best Buddies Friendship Walk on Saturday, May 9th
at the Munster High School Track. Registration will be at the Munster HS track from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. In case of
inclement weather, the Walk will be held in the Fieldhouse at Munster High School. The walk, about 2 miles, will begin
shortly after registration. To register, go online to www.bestbuddiesindiana.org/lakecowalk and sign up. You can either
sign-up as an individual, start your own team or sign-up to be a part of Best Buddies Munster’s team: Munster Mustang
Buddies. Come out and support Best Buddies, whether you are a member or not!!!
STUDENT GOVERNMENT: Voting for the 2015 – 2016 President and Vice-president of the Student Body will take place
Thursday, May 7th and Friday, May 8th. Please check your email on those days for the voting link.
STUDENT GOVERNMENT- DANCE MARATHON: Our 4th annual Dance Marathon will be held on Friday, May 15 th from
6:00 pm - 10:00 pm in the Field House. Help us raise money for Riley’s Children’s Hospital. To register, please pick up a form from
Ms. Wayne, Mrs. LaPorte or any member of Student Government. Forms are due by Wednesday, May 6th in order to receive a t-shirt.
Every dollar donated helps save a child’s life!

GUIDANCE
STUDENTS: Purdue North Central Dual Credit Applications for next year’s courses are available in the Guidance Office. These
forms need to be filled out if you are planning on taking a dual credit class. All forms are due back into the Guidance Office by
May 8th. No late applications will be accepted.
