How to apply the Spectral Pulse Analysis (PMA 2.3 software) in the monitoring of diabetes patients By Sergey Fedotov Pulse Academy Saint-Petersburg branch April 16, 2015 Saint-Petersburg Russia 2 1. Introduction Thanks to dear Mr. Huamin Li ([email protected]) - our partner in China, the Pulse Academy had got readings of 95 patients with data of blood glucose level, systolic and diastolic pressure. Here in present research we have made investigation of possibility to find association of the Five Elements theory of pulse spectral analysis with western approach of biophysical data. For those readers who can not accept seriously the Five Elements Theory of Traditional Chinese medicine (this classification is saved in pulse spectral analysis of the Pulse Academy), we propose to percept each Chinese Qi as an electromagnetic vibration of some definite parameters of frequencies, phases and amplitudes. By this words we would like to stress, that our research is absolutely physical investigation – each Qi in our analysis is represented by energy of proper vibrations calculated on the base of common used formula accepted in spectral analysis. 2. The rest points For evaluation of patients with help of Pulse Metabolic Analysis (PMA) software we used 3 types of readings. A – reading of “Tension” parameter – the indicator of stress of patient in the PMA software: Fig. 1 “Tension” was taken as maximal of 2 readings (for Yin or for Yang system) independently on direction of inclination. At example in Fig. 1 “Tension” is 50%. The chart of Qi distribution is represented in Manual: http://pulse-academy.org/files/TheNormalfiguresofOfPMA_EN.pdf It looks as follow: Fig. 2 Where: GB – Gall Bladder (OH- ion); LR - Liver (Ca++ ion); SI - Small Intestine (Mg++ ion); HT - Heart (K+ ion); ST - Stomach (Na+ ion); SP - Spleen (OH- ion) LI - Large Intestine (K+ ion); LU - Lungs (Mg++ ion); BL - Urinary Bladder (Ca++ ion); KI - Kidneys (Na+ ion) TE – Triple Burner (H+ ion); PC - Pericardium (H+ ion) On the base of above represented chat the correlation base was created. Correlation base was used to compare the ideal distributions of energies with appropriate Pulse Academy 25-B Komsomolskaya St., App. 24, Vladivostok, 690002, Russia www.pulse-academy.org; e-mail: [email protected]; Phone +7-911-956-2653 All rights reserved by Sergei Petrovich Fedotov (the Author) 4 energies of patient. If the similarity of energy distribution is low, the PMA Disease Index has tendency have more high figures in the whole range of results. And vice-versa, low figures in range of results indicate tendency to health. C - PMA Glucose Index - % of correlation analysis based on distributions of energies for patients with high level of Glucose. The higher PMA Glucose Index indicates more high possibility of Glucose in blood 3. Normalization of PMA and Medical indexes PMA data: Tension Index (TI), PMA Disease Index (DI) and PMA Glucose Index (GI) have been normalized – all data was proportionally transformed to take a range from 0% to 100%. The same modification of Glucose level, Systolic and Diastolic pressure was made too. It was found the tolerance range data and all readings have been also transformed to take the diapason from 0% to 100%. Then 3 normalized parameters of PMA and 3 parameters of Medical data were transformed in mean values – PMA Integral Index of Disease (IID) and Integral Medical Index (IMI). These CALCULATED mean values were compared to detect the scattering value – Match Medical and PMA Indexes (%). It is suggested, the less scattering value means the more high similarity level to evaluate the condition of patients. 4. Pulse and medical data of 95 patients Glucose is divided into 3 groups: a- Glucose level from 5.56 to 6.07 mmol/L (32 patients) – diabetes is possible (Green colored field); b- Glucose level from 6.10 to 6.71 mmol/L (35 patients) – pre-diabetes condition (Yellow colored field); c- Glucose level from 6.80 to 11.57 mml/L (38 patients) – diabetes (Red colored field). Other data are divided into 3 types of colors (Green, Yellow and Red) to take third part of the proper range. Up to the opinion of the Author, the decreasing factors of calculated “Integral PMA disease Index” (IDI) are PMA readings of “Tension Index” (TI) and “PMA Disease Index” (DI). The point is that these 2 indexes show dynamic of illness process. - If there is high (TI) and (DI) – the disease will become deeper; - If there is high (TI), but lower (DI) – the process of straggle with disease have a place and prognosis is good; Pulse Academy 25-B Komsomolskaya St., App. 24, Vladivostok, 690002, Russia www.pulse-academy.org; e-mail: [email protected]; Phone +7-911-956-2653 All rights reserved by Sergei Petrovich Fedotov (the Author) 14 - If there is low (TI), but high (DI) – the illness process may be stagnant and take a chronic type that can be cured with difficulties; - If there is low (TI) and (DI) – usually there is no health problems. For the samples in Table 2 we can see low TI or DI readings and it means the following ways of disease development: - for patients NN 28, 24, 61, 49, 35 the prognosis to be cured is good – the DI is low at relatively high TI. It is a compensation reaction of treatment or life power of patients. It is obviously, the period of treatment will depend on PMA Glucose Index (GI). The more high readings will require the more long period of regeneration; - for patients NN 47, 31, 94 the treatment will be more difficult and disease will develop unless proper treatment is applied; - Readings of last 14 patients in the Table 1 above with similarity of PMA and Medical Indexes less then 70% (30% range of data scattering) in fact have more vigorous PMA Indexes as signs of bad prognosis. It means Medical readings DO NOT SEE the dangerous development of disease and proper preventive steps will not be taken, especially for patients 89, 29, 92, 94, 95 with relatively good Medical readings. - PMA Indexes revealed clearly that diabetes has several types. In our research we calculated the PMA Glucose Index for the condition that is associated with severe glucose level in blood. It is evidently, that Diabetes is dynamic, complicated process with many stages. More detailed classification of Diabetes types is possible on the base of additional work. 6. Final conclusion Up to opinion of the Author of present research, the PMA Indexes for the given number of patients are more accurate then Medical Indexes. As you could see 15 last patient have more strong Indexes from the point of view of hazard assessment of disease. The Medical Indexes are turned weaker. In reality 100% of PMA Indexes have accuracy not less then 70% (plus or minus 15%). In comparing with USA FDA requirements when only 90% of readings must have accuracy plus or minus 20%, PMA Indexes allows to get better monitoring result with additional benefit to have dynamic prognosis of disease development, automatic data presentation, high adaptability to introduce the technology into telemedicine industry.
