EASTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY DIVISION OF PURCHASES & STORES RICHMOND, KENTUCKY STUDENT HOUSING DEVELOPER RFP 45-15 DATE: June 10, 2015 ADDENDUM NO: Eight (8) PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: University Housing Presentation and Site Changes University Housing has identified several opportunities that fit with the President’s vision to revitalizing the center of campus. The details are listed below and information included in the attached Housing P3 presentation (slides 15, 16, & 17). Build a new 500-600 bed residence hall where Martin Hall is located. Housing would take Martin Hall off-line in January 2016 to begin demolition. Once a P3 vendor is awarded, we will begin the architectural process immediately with the intention of beginning in early January 2016. Our housing population decreases approximately 350 students from fall to spring semester, and Martin Hall will have approximately 400 students. Housing will be able to more easily accommodate moving students out of Martin Hall into another suitable hall. Concurrently begin the process of demolishing Brockton Family Apartments and build a 500600 bed residence hall. This can incorporate the parking lot located behind the apartments as well. After these two new halls open we will demolish Todd Hall and Dupree Hall and construct the third 500-600 bed residence hall. University Housing needs 1600 new beds. The P3 partners can build the number of beds (size) halls deemed appropriate for the site as long as the number for the three new halls totals 1600 beds. Offeror must acknowledge receipt of this and any addenda either with bid, via email to [email protected], or by separate letter.
