Ballroom Dancing Lessons
April 11, 18, 25, May 2,16 at 5:30 PM
(Sorry for the date change – Instructor had a baby and needs a little more
time to recover.) No lesson May 9th – Night at the Races.
(If there is a lot of interest, we will continue these lessons through 2015.)
Have you ever been at a wedding and wished you could get
up and dance or hear about other people who are learning
how to dance and how much fun they're having? Well this is
your chance to allow dancing to come into your life. Jessica
DeOrio is a certified ballroom dance instructor. She has been
making nondancers into dancers for over 12 years. You do not
need to have any dance background to come and enjoy this
beginner ballroom class. She will start you from the very
beginning, introducing some of the most popular social
dances to you in this 5-week course. She does recommend
having a partner but if you do not you can still participate in
this class. Some dances that may be introduced are the Fox
Trot, Waltz, Hustle, Swing, Rumba, and Cha Cha. All you need
to bring is yourself. Again there is no need for any dance
background to learn how to partner dance. We recommend
you wear some sort of shoe you would typically wear to a
wedding or an event that would have dancing. No tennis
shoes. Women do not need to wear heals just something they
can move their foot around in comfortably. We hope to see
you at these exciting classes!
Don’t forget to mark your calendar!
