Teacher Demonstra.on 2. Students work through exercise: • Assemble a series of images into ‘narra*ve’ structure • Select suitable shot types • Add direc*on arrows and directorial instruc*ons • Write detailed explana*on of concept, overall storyline & context of chosen images within the story Student presents to teacher: 1. A short film/music video/abstract film: Teacher interviews each student during workshop • Candidate was primarily responsible for the filming and edi*ng • Quick*me/Mpeg4/DVD format compa*ble • 90 seconds to 3 minutes 2. An example of a cri*que or film deconstruc*on wriVen by the candidate on any aspect of film that illustrates their understanding of film techniques Design Technology Workshop / Portfolio 2 Hour Workshop Designing Solu,ons to Problems Portfolio Presentation Original Design Ideas or Products Presented with product design problems, create and evaluate possible solu*ons. Student presents to teacher: Por9olio: • Original design ideas (hard copy or digital form) and/or • Original products and designs previously completed. Interview: Be prepared to speak about your por[olio Discuss the design processes undertook in the workshop. Teacher interviews each student during workshop Visual Arts Workshop / Portfolio 2 Hour Workshop Studio Workshop Portfolio Presentation Original Artwork All candidates will par*cipate in a group studio workshop where they will be presented with media techniques and an art concept and asked to put these into prac*ce. The candidate should be prepared to speak about their por[olio and discuss the crea*ve processes they undertook in the workshop. Candidates are invited to bring a por9olio of your original artwork either as hard copy or as digital photographs of your original artwork. Digital photographs are to jpegs 300dpi and saved on a Apple compa*ble USB. The por[olio could include a range of Visual Arts (Design – Graphic, Fashion, Games, Costume/Stage, Pain*ng, Drawing, Sculpture, New Media – Video Works, Anima*ons…) and these works could be in preliminary, plans or completed. Teacher interviews each student during workshop Music A Music Por[olio and Audi*on Presenta*on includes: 1. Evidence of Theory Qualifica*on • AMEB Theory of Music Grade 3, AMEB Musicianship Grade 3, AMEB Music Crae Grade 2, or similar courses through Trinity College or ABRSM 2. Performance • Perform two (2) contras*ng pieces (own choice) with a total dura*on of 10 minutes • Perform at a standard at least equivalent to AMEB Grade 5 (Prac*cal) or AMEB Advancing Step 3 (CPM) OR Composi*on • Submit two (2) contras*ng composi*ons recorded onto an audio CD with either live or MIDI instruments • Submit a score of at least one (1) of these composi*ons Theatre A Theatre Audi*on Presenta*on includes: 1. A prepared 2 – 3 minute self-‐devised, solo, drama*c performance that: • includes dialogue and stage ac*on/movement • may use small, personal props • is learnt/memorized • is suitable for the context of the audi*on and the age of the candidate • Showcases the candidate’s ac*ng skills and abili*es 2. A copy of the script (submiVed at the audi*on) 3. Par*cipa*on in a 45 minute Impromptu Performance (no prepara*on required) Be Prepared A Specialist Panel requires all candidates to speak about their Portfolio/Audition and discuss the creative processes they used to produce it.
