ABOUT THE TOWN OF QUISPAMSIS:
The Town of Quispamsis is one of New Brunswick’s fastest growing communities, situated in the
Kennebecasis Valley. This suburban town is located in southwestern New Brunswick, just northeast of
the City of Saint John, with a population of more than 18,000 residents.
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provide support to the Engineering department in the area of surveying, inspections and record keeping.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collect infrastructure data and road ratings
• Perform topographical surveys
• Assist with inspections of subdivisions, road constructions and pipe work
• Assist in road and ditch design
• Place traffic counters and record traffic patterns
• Organize records and enter data into spreadsheets
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will be a personable team player who is reliable, energetic and safety conscious. In
addition to these qualities, preference will be given to candidate who possesses:
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Experience using AutoCAD, GeoCalc,and CARIS
As a requirement to employment, the successful applicant must be currently enrolled in a civil
engineering program and scheduled to return in the fall. The successful applicant will also possess a valid
driver’s license.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position involves long periods of standing and sitting and occasionally, outdoor work. The
successful candidate will be required to maintain a professional image at all times.
