An athletic, boot camp inspired class to wake up the body and the brain! There are so many ways to put your interval classes together... let Katharine share some of her favourites with you and open up some new doors to ideas relating to timing, reps, equipment and of course MOVES! 10:45 - 12:00pm Workshop #2 Sharon Allard Kick This - Punch That! with Sharon Allard Want to try a workout that is smart, efficient and effective? Rediscover Cardio-Kickboxing! Cardio-Kickboxing includes elements of cardiovascular strength and endurance, muscular power and endurance, flexibility, core, balance AND it reduces stress, all in one class! Join Sharon as she reviews some of the basics and connects our minds with our bodies in a fun filled workout while we ‘Kick This’ and ‘Punch That’! 12:30 - 1:45pm (Hon.BAHS, FIS, PTS, CORE II, CYCLE, YES II, Drums Alive Master Trainer) Katharine has been active in the fitness industry for over 25 years. She has taught fitness to thousands of people and is passionate about helping others achieve their goals. Katharine is the Lead Trainer for LifeFIT Canada at Health Club Santé, Health Canada’s employee fitness centre, and is the Coordinator of Health and Wellness, Corporate Division for the RA. Sharon has been involved in the fitness industry for over 25 years and remains passionate about sharing her love of movement and life-long health with others. She truly believes that there is some sort of activity out there for everyone through which one can find enjoyment, laughter, and a sense of profound well-being. Sharon is a Can-Fit-Pro certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. Workshop #3 Brenda Hamm Raise the Barre! with Brenda Hamm Raise the Barre is a fun, upbeat, no impact workout that includes elements of pilates, yoga, and strength training. It is a unique fitness class that focusses on strong, easy to follow movements that create toned muscles. We work towards fatiguing muscle group using tiny isometric movements to sculpt the muscle and protect your joints. RA Centre, 2451 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, ON K1H 7X7 Brenda is the Manager of LifeFIT Canada for the RA Centre, where she is responsible for 11 fitness sites as well as all of health and wellness programming at the RA Centre. She has been in the fitness industry for 25+ years and is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience and mentoring fitness professionals. Her specialty is group fitness, including step, core, strength, choreography, Yoga and Pilates. Leadership, membership service, personal training, performance measurement and genuine concern for the “members” experience are equally within her areas of expertise. In addition to being a Master Fitness Instructor, Brenda is also a trained facilitator and has created and developed numerous health/wellness workshops for corporate clients.
