STANDARD RALLY HOTSEAT EXPERIENCE
The Rallystar Rally Hotseat Experience starts with a short
briefing during which we explain what you can expect in
a rally car.
Then you are safely strapped into one of our powerful rally
cars and one of our professional rally drivers will take you
around part of the specialist rally stage at a medium
pace to familiarise you with the rally car and get the
adrenaline pumping.
Then when you start to believe that it can’t be all that
bad, all hell breaks loose when our professional rally driver
opens up the powerful rally car and takes you for the ride
of your life!
You may be lucky enough to experience, the well-known
car control skills, of ex-South African multiple Rally
champion Leon Botha, which will ensure that you bring all
your friends for more! (Please note that drivers are rotated)

Duration of Drive Sessions
The Rally Hotseat spins usually lasts 10 minutes from being
strapped in up to finishing your ride.
Waiting time depends on the number of participants

RALLY HOTSEAT EXPERIENCE
This is a double whammy – filled with excitement not
many people will ever experience.
We take your group around our Rallystar Super Special
Stage in two competing rally cars at the same time and
you will experience what happens on a WRC event
during a Super Special Stage!
The two cars start next to each other and you will
experience rally magic from the moment the two drivers
pull away until they fly over the last jump together!
How does the Rallystar Super Special Stage Hotseat
Experience work?
After flying over the notorious BIG Rallystar jump the cars
split from each other - the one doing a short lap, while the
other tackles the longer outside track.
Then comes the nerve wrecking switch-over of lanes
when the drivers change tracks...
All this, while you build a bit of faith and at the same time
enjoy one of the greatest sensations you will ever get!
If all goes well, the two cars should cross the finish line
together!

Duration of Drive Sessions
The Rally Hotseat spins usually lasts 10 minutes each from being strapped in up to finishing your
ride.
The duration of a session for a group of 10 will be about an hour.
Waiting time depends on the number of participants present. Various conditions such as
weather, repairs on cars etc. can cause delays.

The adrenaline filled day, starts off with an interesting
introduction session, during which we discuss rallying as a
sport and the incredible experience of participating.
We also tell you about the rules for the day, the art of
driving (a passion with us) and chat in general about
drive-lines, rally car behaviour, what to do and what not
to do. This session in its own is worth the time and money
spent.
We will also explain the use of Pace Notes and by the time
you get to do your first special stage you will tackle it like
a rally driver!
After the theory we move to the track for the real McCoy!
We will then do a recce run showing the drivers the track
and talking them through the difficult parts.
Then it will be time to move in behind the steering wheel
of one of our powerful rally cars, get a proper feel of the
car's characteristics during the initial laps and then go on
a specially designed Special Stage testing your multi-tasking
skills while a navigator calls the pace notes at machine
gun tempo.

Then follows what you have been waiting for! The chance
to open up the power to get that sensational adrenaline
rush generated by a rally car driven in anger!
Depending of your concentration levels, you will be taken
directly onto “your” Special Stage with which you are not
familiar with and you will have to drive according to the
calls from your navigator over unknown roads.

How to Buy or redeem a Voucher

Shipping and Delivery of Rally Experience Voucher
A confirmation email and digital voucher will be emailed to you as soon as we received your
payment. If you make a bank deposit or do an electronic transfer, you can send the proof of
payment to [email protected] or fax it to 086 656 1877.
Session Times and Availability
Bookings need to be made at least two to three weeks in advance to ensure availability. To make
a booking send an email to [email protected].
Points to Remember
This is a weather related activity and excessive rain can cause postponement or cancellation of
current sessions.
Vehicles can break at any time and although we take special care to have cars running at all times,
the non-availability of and/or unobtainable spares are major factors. We do carry some spares but
cannot guarantee speedy repairs.
Instructors can become ill, cars can break and the track can wash away.
If sessions are stopped due to mechanical failures the remainder of such runs will be rescheduled to
future dates. Clients agree that although we will do our best to accommodate them on suitable
dates, this will not always be possible.
Please note that Sessions can be stopped due to unacceptable behavior of a customer and no
refund or rescheduling will be done.
Customers who are more than 15 minutes late for their scheduled time may lose their opportunity to
participate.
Rally Vehicles Used for Sessions:

All of our vehicles are more or less on the same performance level and can reach the
same speeds. All cars are rally specification class N4 or class A7.
Vehicle makes include Nissan, Subaru and Volkswagen.
Vehicles are rotated and any one to two of our vehicles will be used on any given day,
depending on the size of group and availability.

One rally vehicle can be used for groups up to 10 people. We always try to have at least
two vehicles ready.
Participants take turns in driving with the instructor and all participants remain on same
level up to completion of the session.
All rally cars are fitted with roll cages and rally safety belts.
All vehicle have manual transmissions.
What to Wear:
Rallystar will supply a balaclava and protective rally helmet on the day. Wear comfortable light
clothes and thin flat-soled shoes. Preferably wear a shirt with a collar – to protect your neck from the
rather rugged safety harness.
Restrictions:
Minimum age for Rally Hotseat Spins is 12 and for Rally Self Drives is 16 (participant must at least have
basic knowledge of driving and be capable of changing gears in a manual transmission vehicle.
Participants under the age of 18 need an indemnity signed by a parent or guardian in our
presence. Weight restriction 120kg – persons with a waist size larger than 48 inches will not fit into our
rally cars safely. Persons with a length of up to 1.9m can fit into the rally cars quite comfortably.
Persons with serious health issues or previous injuries are advised not to do this activity unless they are
cleared by a doctor. We accept no responsibility for any injuries suffered during any activity, in or
outside of the vehicles.
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome and it is recommended to bring a camera to capture the excitement.
Please note that all activities take place outdoors and it is advised not to bring small children, older
or frail people, as conditions can be very dusty, warm or cold depending on weather season.
Please make sure you have sunblock and a cap or hat for protection against sunburn.
Indemnity Form:
All participants are required to sign an indemnity before partaking in any activities at the Rallystar
Track.
Refunds:
No refunds will be made under any circumstances. Persons who do not show up for their
appointments may lose full payment or a portion of it depending on the written arrangement.
Any cancellation of a booking must be made at least 4 days in advance.

From Rigel/Delmas off ramp on the N1:
The RallyStar Track is located 35km from the N1 Rigel off ramp on the R51, which is 4.8kms from
Bapsfontein en route to Benoni. You follow the Delmas road (R50) until you get to Bapsfontein —
then turn right to Benoni/Springs (R51) at the fourway stop and 4.8kms from there you will find
our adrenaline pumping company!
Directions to RallyStar from Johannesburg
Exit Johannesburg on the R21 in northerly direction towards Pretoria.
Take Exit 32 towards R25/Bronkhorstspruit.
“T” junction, turn left towards R25/Bronkhorstspruit.
Zero odo.
15,1 “T” junction, turn right towards R25/Bronkhorstspruit.
16,7 Crossroads, turn right towards R51/Springs.
21,3 Ignore gravel road on RHS next to sign Rallystar, proceed straight on.

From Rivonia off ramp on the N1:
Take the N1 North towards O.R. Tambo Airport.
Go straight towards Durban — N3 South.
Continue on the N3 past Marlboro -, London Road,
Modderfontein and Linksfield Off-ramps.
Then take the N12 towards O.R.Tambo Airport.
Continue straight on N12 towards Witbank.
Continue past Kraft road off-ramp and North Rand.
Road stay on the N12 past East Rand Mall and past Atlas road.
Exit the N12 at the Snake Road Off-ramp and turn left
continuing towards Benoni/Bapsfontein on Pretoria road.
Continue straight on Pretoria road until you exit Benoni.
Pretoria road then becomes the R51. Continue on the
R51 through a small village called Petit and carry on for approx 7km.
RallyStar Motorsport Academy is located on the left hand side of the R51.
