possible. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or adult in the fitness center. *
Class Descriptions
Basketball Instruction: Basic fundamentals of basketball are taught such as the rules, how to dribble, pass
and shoot. Instructor will also teach drills and skills. Fun for all beginners!
Be Fit Kids: Workout in our fitness center with the help of a personal instructor. Use the weight machines,
ellipticals, bikes and treadmills to get in shape and stay healthy.
Beginner Tennis: Held indoors at the YMCA. Basic skills are presented to introduce youngsters to the game
of tennis. Any play will be modified and include skills and game education.
Cardio Kids: Children will learn the stepping stones to building a healthy active lifestyle through game play
and cardio based activities.
Intermediate Tennis: Challenging drills to help you improve and take your game to an advanced level.
Preschool Tennis: A fun session using large, slow-moving foam balls, low net and specialty equipment to
teach basic skills.
Soccer: An introduction to the fundamental skills necessary to play soccer.
Special Needs Tennis/Sports: Adaptive equipment and tennis plays for those with disabilities.
Teen Special: Come hang out at the YMCA on Friday nights. Includes fitness center usage, basketball,
strength training and more!
Volleyball: Learn the basics of volleyball while having fun outside.
Youth Development: A new program being offered through the YMCA that allows the youth of today, an
opportunity to learn from professional athletes what it actually takes to become an elite athlete on and off
the field. The program will consist of physical training on a regular basis as well as field trips that will give the
children a chance to see where their dreams could take them.
Please Note: Make-up classes will only be offered if the YMCA is forced to cancel a class due to inclement weather,
instructor illness or unforeseen circumstances. No make-up will be given for failure to attend class. Any make-up
will be based upon availability of the YMCA and the instructors discretion.
