Last season, ACC softball capped off an excellent year as league champion Florida
State highlighted a collection of four ACC teams that earned bids to the 2014 NCAA
Championship, advancing to the College World Series for the eighth time in program
history and the first time since 2004. The Seminoles captured the ACC title with a
Championship Game win over Notre Dame, which reached the finals in its first season as a league member.
Our congratulations and best wishes go out to all of our student-athletes, coaches
and programs, and my sincere thanks to you for your support of the Atlantic Coast
Conference.

This is an exciting time for our league as we continue to move forward as a true
Atlantic Coast Conference, with membership spanning from New England to South
Florida and beyond. Our current 15 member schools collectively make the ACC even
stronger in terms of Olympic Sports competition. In addition, the ACC geographic
footprint contains the most television households and highest population of any conference nationally. It is projected that by 2030, 55 percent of the population of the
United States will lie within the Northeast and Southern states — prime
ACC territory.
A SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL OF THE ACC’S CORPORATE CHAMPIONS
