Dentistry practice goes “green”
thanks to RBS funding

Park Dental Care is a private dental practice based in central Nottingham.
Established in 2005, the clinic offers a full range of preventative dental
services to its patients as well as tooth whitening and orthodontics.
The practice has recently joined the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive
(RHI) - a scheme designed to financially reward those businesses who use
renewable energy to heat their buildings. As a result the organisation has
purchased and installed a new eco-friendly heating system in its premises
which is more energy efficient, will reduce fuel bills and will generate an
estimated additional income for the company of £2,400 a year.
The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) provided Park Dental Care with a £20,000
fee free loan to fund the project. Lending was provided in the form of a fee
free loan under the Government backed Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS).
Tim Webber, Principal Dental Surgeon at Park Dental Care said: “As with
most businesses, we are always looking at more efficient ways to run the
business that will help us to reduce our expenditure, generate income and
lower our environmental impact.
“When we discovered the energy and cost-saving benefits of the new boiler
and the income it could generate we were amazed and knew that it was
something we needed to implement within the practise.”
