Hosted by:
The 15th International Health Workforce Collaborative
(IHWC) conference, hosted by Health Education England,
is a unique opportunity to discuss, key global/local health
workforce issues facing our respective countries. It provides
opportunities for networking and collaboration and time to
explore the four themes of the conference, outlined below.

The Future Primary Health and Social Care Workforce: Building the capability of the system to support an Integrated Primary Health
and Social Care Workforce
Optimising the health workforce through interprofessional,
collaborative models of care
Workforce innovations supporting patient-directed health care
This is an invite only event. Delegates from the UK and Europe, United
States of America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand will be in
attendance.

A welcome BBQ is being held at the Royal College of Physicians. There will
be refreshments on arrival followed by a range of delicious food hot from
the BBQ.
Competitive sight seeing
Date: Thursday 14 May
Time: 16:00 – 18:00
Location: Starts and ends at Cambridge City Hotel, Cambridge
A unique way to see the sights of Cambridge. You will work in teams and
follow clues and find your way around one of the UK’s most picturesque
cities, learning about its history. Follow the treasure hunt to win prizes
during the grand finale quiz!
Conference dinner
Date: Thursday 14 May
Time: 19:00 until late
Location: The Long Barn, Childerley Hall, Cambridge
The conference dinner will be held at The Long Barn, Childerley Hall,
a short drive away from the conference hotel. Upon arrival there will
be welcome refreshments and a three course dinner accompanied by
entertainment. Dress code: Business Casual
Afternoon tea
Date: Friday 15 May
Time: 13:30 – 14:45
Location: Cambridge City Hotel, Cambridge
On the final day, we have on offer a traditional English afternoon tea. You
will enjoy a range of classic English sandwiches, cakes and scones with a
selection of teas and coffees.
