Empty and rinse containers. Containers with contents remaining cannot be recycled and can harm workers or damage machinery. Rinsing helps reduce odours and pests. Add materials loose to the recycling container. Only shredded paper should be inside a see-through plastic bag before being added to recycling. Save space by flattening boxes and cartons. Stack containers that held the same contents, such as yogurt pots. Please leave recycling at least 2m away from garbage cans to avoid damage to recycling containers.
