Supporting enhancements to healthcare at the
Red Deer Regional Hospital through the
Red Deer Regional Health Foundation
2015 Cause
We are thrilled to announce that the 2015 Festival
of Trees will be directing our fundraising efforts to
enhance client care & services in the Medical
Specialties Clinics at the Red Deer Regional
Hospital.
Medical Specialties Clinics provide a multidisciplinary approach to care for clients in Central Alberta
living with the following conditions:
~Multiple Sclerosis ~Heart Failure ~Hepatitis C
~Anticoagulation Therapies ~Stroke Prevention
~Complex Medical Conditions
~Specialized Geriatric Services
Over 2,000 clients per year access ambulatory
services in the Medical Specialties Clinics. This
number is anticipated to double by 2024.
All Central Alberta residents will benefit from the
renovation & expansion of services by improving
access to a specialized team, thereby decreasing
wait times. The renovations will result in an
improved physical environment that supports
clients with mobility aides, allows for family
presence at clinic appointments, and allows for the
creation of new and the expansion of existing
services.
Enhancements to the Medical Specialties Clinics
space will support individuals with chronic conditions to maintain maximum independence & avoid
hospitalization.

It’s Been 21 Years and Look What We’ve Done Together
Meet Our Legacy Donor
In 2011 Mary Bea Quinn & Family made
possible the 1st Red Deer Regional Health
Foundation legacy donation, in memory of the
late J.B. (Bernard) Quinn of Rocky Mountain
House. Mr. Quinn was a successful entrepreneur
in the Central Alberta oil and gas industry. He
often helped individuals without any expectation
in return, often making donations anonymously
to avoid attention.

This is year five of the Quinn Family’s
eight-year total donation of $1,000,000,
being used to enhance healthcare at the
Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre.
A metal tree, handcrafted by Shane Seib Iron Art, is on display for the duration
of the eight years to commemorate the Quinn Family donation.

Silent Auction Items
Silent auction items are a valuable part of the Festival and generate much
enjoyment for our guests. Donate the item of your choice and watch it
become a sought after favorite! Please note that items valued less than
$500 may be grouped together. We are very grateful for all donations
but as opportunity availability is limited, Festival reserves the right to
repurpose the item if required.
Christmas Tree Program
The Tree Room and decorated Christmas trees are the heart of Festival.
Each year over 23,000 people stroll through and enjoy the magic of the
tree display. There are two great ways to participate in the tree program:
Cash Tree - with a donation of $1,500—$3,500
Your name will be displayed as the presenting sponsor of a
gorgeous tree that has been decorated by our Festival Elves. There
are only 35 of these coveted trees available, so call and make your
donation today!
Gift in Kind Tree
Purchase a tree from the Festival inventory and decorate it in your
own unique design. You may choose to place items under the tree
that will add value and interest. There are only 30 gift in kind trees
available; get yours early before they sell out!

committed to raising the most funds possible to enhance healthcare services and equipment in Central Alberta.
We take the responsibility of managing donor dollars very seriously. As such, you may
note changes to the 2015 Festival of Trees as we work to physically and economically
streamline events.
Through cost cutting, better space utilization, and calculated strategic planning we are
confident we have planned a better Festival with more dollars going to healthcare
initiatives.
All donation values will be determined in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency guidelines. Substantiated fair market value shall accompany all items. Festival of Trees reserves the right to
display all items at its discretion for the overall enhancement of the Festival.

In 2013 the Festival of Trees introduced a Volunteer Awards Program that was made possible through a
