Be a Part of Deschutes County 4-H’s 3rd Annual
No Rules Science Fair
No rules means, we are not going to restrict your topic or medium. The guideline for 4-H is if you are interested in it and we
can find a volunteer willing to help you learn more, it can be a project area
—so we are going to apply this same philosophy to our science fair.
All you have to do is put
your project into one of
these three areas:
⇒
On Land
⇒
Above Land
⇒
Water
Determine what age bracket you should be placed in:
⇒
9-11 years old (JUNIOR)
⇒
12-14 years old (INTERMEDIATE)
⇒
15-19 years old (SENIOR)
⇒
K-8 years (CLOVERBUDS)
You do NOT have to be a 4-H member to par:cipate.
All youth who reside in Oregon are welcome to par:cipate!
When: Saturday, May 30, 2015—Set Up begins at 9 am
Where: Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond, OR—North Sister Building
What: Whatever you want:
⇒
⇒
Cost: No charge for entries
⇒
⇒
A Display
A Computer Game
Wri?en Documenta:on
A Computer Program
Here is the only rule:
Whatever you submit, must somehow show or explain how “Science Inquiry” was used AND it must be a
2014-2015 Project…. If you are unsure of the Science Inquiry process, it’s simple really, here are some basic
guidelines:
⇒ Make observa:ons
⇒ Ask ques:ons that can be answered through a scien:fic inves:ga:on.
