Happy Holidays everyone!
On September 3, I attended the Flint Doll
Collectors, Annual Auction in Montrose, Mi.
After the Flint Doll Collectors Auction in the
beginning of October, I attended the R.D.
training in Kansas City, Missouri. It was a typical
training session. However, while I was there, I
got a sneak preview of the dolls that will be
displayed in the museum, and viewed our new
renovated beautiful museum.
I also attended the Ken Vention which was held
this past October in the Sheraton Chicago
O’Hare Airport Hotel in Rosemont, IL. The
theme this year was Barbie and Ken Wedding.
Many attendants made a decision to attend the
Ken Vention dressed as a bride. (Only at a doll
convention will you have the opportunity to
witness several brides in attendance).
After the wedding, I returned to Michigan and
drove to Loveland, Ohio, to attend the Madame
Alexander Doll Club Fall Friendship Luncheon.
The combined guests in attendance were from
seven different doll clubs. Mary Ann Duffield,
President Madame Alexander Doll Club was the
program presenter. The Madame Alexander Doll
Club Fall Friendship Luncheon consisted of door
prizes, lunch, and raffles. I was lucky to be the
ticket holder of two of the raffles. The first raffle
item was a bride doll, Elise by the Madame
Alexander Doll Co. in mint condition. The
second raffle was an African American Madame
Alexander baby doll.
Sunday November 2nd, I attended the
“DOLLICIOUS” doll show and sale in Madison
Heights, MI.
Using formal training in business, I plan to assist
clubs in developing membership, bring
excitement by sharing knowledge of restoring
and preserving today’s dolls for tomorrow. Tell
me as soon as possible, when you plan to have
an event, so that it can advertise the Newsletter.
Purchase holiday gifts from the UFDC on line
shop. Many items have been reduced (a couple
dolls are priced at just $20!) and have free
shipping.
Clubs send in your credentials forms to register
delegates/alternates to our 2015 Annual
Business meeting in Kansas City, MO. Clubs who
have not done so, please return your Regional

be made after 1/1/2015. Look for information
coming soon in 2015 Winter Doll News.

care of for today and for the future.
