Barrier-free Table – allowing wheel-chair users to join family dinners with ease
The eieihome team had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of the ReliAble Living
Centre on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Located in the heart of Downtown Toronto at 200
Spadina Avenue, it sits in a 3000 sq.ft space that includes everything needed to enhance
residential or commercial buildings . It also houses a training facility to educate contractors,
healthcare professionals and the general public about accessibility standards and more.

The event included a showcase of the many different products and services the centre
offers and guest speakers that addressed the importance of accessibility and overcoming
adversity. As the main guest speaker, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, David C. Onley,
proudly indicated that the overarching theme of his mandate would be accessibility, stating
that “accessibility is that which enables people to achieve their full potential”. Whereas, Paul
Rosen, Paralympic gold medalist, shared his story of courage and determination on
overcoming adversity.
