The World Parliament is the oldest, the most inclusive, and the largest gathering in the world of
people of all faith traditions who are committed to working together across faith traditions for the
common good of humanity. Since the first convening in Chicago in 1893, this event has been held in
South Africa, Australia, and NOW it is coming to SALT LAKE CITY!!! (www.parliamentofreligions.org)
Registration for this historic event will cost others up to $550 for the four day event. But, because of
our special association with Parliament organizers you can apply now to be a Parliament Student
Fellow! This special invitation and designation is extended only to students at Utah universities and
colleges and will give you:

FREE registration
Full access to Parliament convocations and sessions that include addresses by international
faith leaders including His Holiness the Dalai Lama
Special opportunities for networking with Parliament attendees and interfaith leaders from all
over the world!
Specialized training to help you become an Interfaith Leader on campus!
Special access to events and “hang-outs” only available to Parliament Student Fellows
This unique opportunity is limited and requires an application and competitive selection process.
Applicants must
1. complete and return the enclosed application to Bonnie Glass-Coffin, PhD (Old Main 245A or
UMC 0730, by April 1st, 2015.
2. have a 3.0 cumulative GPA,
3. have demonstrated interest in/commitment to interfaith cooperation
4. have the written support of a faculty, staff, or administrative sponsor,
5. be able to be in SLC and commit 20 hours to volunteer during this historic event.
