[Announce-ura] Faculty Drop-in Session to create NEW NIH Biosketches in SciENcv
Hi All – The faculty drop‐in session has been scheduled for Thursday, May 28 from 12‐2PM in CLSC 119. Topic: Faculty Drop‐in Session to create NEW NIH Biosketches in SciENcv Presenter(s): Aaron House (URA) & Cyndie Shannon‐Hutchison (BSD) Date: Thursday, May 28th 2015 Time: 12:00 – 2:00 PM Place: Cummings Life Sciences Center, Room 119 Session Summery Stop in and get your My NCBI, NIH Commons, FastLane, ORCID, and SciENcv accounts linked up (or created) and ready to use to generate your new NIH biosketch! Stop in anytime between 12 – 2PM to receive one‐to‐one service to set‐up your biosketch template. It usually takes about 10‐15 mins. Bring your laptop or use our computers – we want to make this easy for you! SciENcv is an extremely flexible tool you can use to create and maintain your new NIH and/or your NSF biosketches. It can pull data (demographics AND grant support) from your NIH, NSF or ORCID profiles giving you a head start in creating your bio. You can also select publications from your My NCBI bibliography to easily create a new biosketch for each grant you submit. SciENcv is expected to eventually support the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Science Foundation, and the Department of Agriculture CVs (in addition to NSF and NIH) so it is worth investing the time to learn and use the system. The new NIH format is required for all grants going in on or after May 25 so please take advantage of this opportunity to get your bio set up and ready to use.
