Since the release of their 2013 EP ‘Outsider’, Melbourne’s own OCEAN GROVE have progressively developed a sound
that is as distinguishable as it is crushing, one that has captured – and commanded – the attention of heavy music
fans from the east to the west coast. Drawing upon the influence of contemporaries such as My Ticket Home and
The Plot In You, it’s the group’s love of genre-bending veterans Marilyn Manson and Slipknot that provides OCEAN
GROVE with their own uniquely twisted edge.
Having toiled relentlessly at a local level, the five-piece has taken on a heavy travel schedule this past two years,
warming the stages for Volumes, Buried In Verona, Fit For A King, Graves and most recently, US heavy-hitters Attila,
on their ‘Guilty Pleasure’ tour, with high praise and rave reviews following the highly-touted youngsters wherever
they go.
Following on from a series of well-received singles, the fiercely independent group opted to self-produce their
forthcoming EP ‘Black Label’ with multi-talented drummer Sam Bassal overseeing the recording, mixing and
mastering process.
“Conceptually ‘Black Label’ is indicative of where our lives are situated currently, as we shed our adolescent skin
it was inevitable that our music took a similar form,” notes frontman, Luke Holmes. “Aiming to steer clear of the
pseudo-intellectual front prominent in music, ‘Black Label’ offers a very real introspection of us as people and our
journey as musicians (as portrayed in the cover art), confronting the audience with underlying messages of passion,
adventure and desires in an ominous way at times. Self-sufficiency and having total creative control was imperative
in occasioning and staying true to this ethos.”
Set for a June release, ‘Black Label’ will be distributed in Australia/New Zealand via Shock and backed by OCEAN
GROVE’s largest scale headline tour to date, ably supported by their good friends in Void Of Vision (fresh off their own
15-date trek with Hellions) and Devastator.

Dark, raw and intense shoegaze from Parisian leaders of the scene. FUTURE is a three-piece band from Paris,
identified by Reverberation Appreciation Society and The Black Angels’ leader Christian Bland, as one of the most
interesting upcoming psych bands via their latest compilation, ‘The Reverb Conspiracy – Vol III’ (alongside Goat,
Mugstar, The Oscillation, Lola Colt and many more).
Taken in the marble, the body on the cover, designed by upcoming artist Marion Costantin, greatly expresses
the music of FUTURE. Horizons is a sensual, cold and gloomy record, sounding like the sequel of The Cure’s
‘Pornography’ (1982) but made in 2015. Sure, it’s shoegaze but it’s also much more... it’s catchy, fierce and bright in
its own darkness. Their live shows are raw, dark and intense, a perfect soundtrack of our times.

BARBAROSSA, the nom de plume of Londoner James Mathé, follows up his 2013 album ‘Bloodlines’ with ‘Imager’.
The British musician’s third full length is a cerebral, slow-burning album, tinged with melancholy and an alluring
humanism.
Mathé’s musical journey started with folk-tinged balladry that saw him become part of the Fence Collective, and
subsequently a band member for the likes of José González, Johnny Flynn and Junip. With ‘Bloodlines’, however,
BARBAROSSA started to infuse his song writing with electronic flourishes, and now with ‘Imager’, he has completed
his transformation into a fully-fledged electronic soul pioneer.

Working with co-producer Ash Workman, BARBAROSSA builds on the foundations provided by his organic approach
to songwriting, to build elegiac electronic anthems that are filled with a simple, poignant immediacy. The album is
pervaded with a sense of disquiet, perhaps driven subconsciously by the fact that the spaces where creativity and
culture flourish in London are rapidly disappearing; that the artistic communities that Mathé grew up with are being
driven out of London due to financial pressures, and as a result, something vital is being lost. Yet while the album
deals in displacement and heartbreak, a sense that everything is in flux, there are redemptive moments to stir the
soul.

BULLION, real name Nathan Jenkins, is a producer and songwriter from West London.
His productions, achieving acclaim in 2008 with ‘Get Familiar’, are full of meandering rhythmic arrangements and
unexpected changes – owing to a short attention span and acute attention to detail.
With a slew of releases on One-Handed music, he drew the attention of Young Turks, releasing ‘You Drive Me To
Plastic’ in 2011 and soon after, ‘R&S’, revealing his own voice on 2012’s hypnotic ‘Say Arr Ee’. Alongside solo output,
Nathan produces and co-writes for other artists. Collaborations include Sampha, Gwilym Gold and Clare Maguire.
Meanwhile, Nathan has been building the imaginative and forward thinking label DEEK Recordings, frequently
working with Laura Groves. Under the guiding mantra of ‘Pop, not slop’, DEEK has been carving its name as a label to
keep a close eye on. Nathan’s previous collaborations have seen him forge an alliance with Tic Zogson (Young Turks)
and Laura Groves, releasing music together under the moniker Nautic, whose musical output garnered significant
attention upon release.
Over the past few years Nathan has been booked to DJ all over the world and in 2010 was invited to Ethiopia for
a music trip with Africa Express. More recently, Paul Epworth (Adele, Glass Animals) has enlisted him to work on
various projects, resulting in an additional production credit on the Pop Group’s latest LP

On September 25th 2014, shortly after the release of their “World On Fire” album, SLASH WITH MYLES KENNEDY
& THE CONSPIRATORS took the stage at the legendary Roxy Theatre on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. The
atmospheric venue, steeped in rock history, gave fans a brilliant opportunity to see the band up close as they

At the beginning of 2014, OUTFIT found themselves scattered across two countries and three cities, separated by life
and love from each other and from those closest to them.
‘Slowness’, the band’s second full length LP, is the sound of its five members snatching intensive weeks to plant
themselves in one place, with the tensions of touring, moving, and transatlantic relationships still weighing heavy in
mind, to create an album with bold presence.
‘Slowness’ paints a portrait of distance using haunting piano, piercing synthesizers and guitars, all underpinned by
OUTFIT’s trademark rhythm section. It dwells on physical distance between lovers, the emotional distance when we
return, and the ways in which we imagine each other thousands of miles apart.
Over the stuttering synths of opener ‘New Air’, the duelling lyrics of vocalist Andrew PM Hunt and keyboardist
Thomas Gorton are rooted in optimism and beckon an unseen presence to join them in a new life, whilst album
closer ‘Swam Out’ sees the band go from beaten and worn down to joyfully triumphant over the course of a
song decorated with decaying Skype noises and 1am phone calls. The album’s contrasting textures and timbres
recall late period Talk Talk and other more expansive New Wave outsiders, but there is a deep sense of modern
life to ‘Slowness’. ‘Slowness’ is OUTFIT’s most cohesive work to date, a marked progression both sonically and
emotionally, capturing the harrowing shock of being in love and apart, and the stillness of staring into screens.
Ultimately, though, ‘Slowness’ sounds like a band coming to terms with themselves as artists and people to create
an album that celebrates life’s obstacles: a record made between New York, London and Liverpool -- a piece of work
compelled by distance.

Balance and Composure). Inspired by handful of indie-rock favorites before him, the celebrated songwriter

“After making ‘Crooked In My Mind’, I spent a lot of time seeing bands like Guided By Voices, Neutral Milk Hotel,
