REVISTA INVESTIGACION OPERACIONAL VOL. 36, NO. 2, 192, 2015 Obituary Prof. Monique Florenzano We regret to inform that our Associated Editor Monique Florenzano has gone away. The Editorial Committee expresses its deepest condolences to her family, colleagues and friends from all over the world. Monique`s active and generous participation in join research with groups from developing countries, gave life to different collaborative work with her into the framework of CNRS and other projects. Monique was well known for her many and deep contributions to the theory of Mathematical Economics. Many students and colleagues have learnt and benefited from her charm and knowledge, the discussions she engaged and her passion for life and social commitment. Her contributions to the History of Economic Thought, Economic Planning and especially to Fixed Point Theory are of obliged reference in Mathematical Economics. She also played important roles in the organisation of international conferences. We are immensely grateful to Monique`s contributions to the improvement of the level and quality of our journal as well as to our series of scientific events ICOR and IWOR, which are celebrated under the patronage of our journal Although she was very selective and always busy she participated in every project involving them. She published more than 40 papers and left 13 unpublished publications. One of them Equilibrio General y Juegos: Introducción al Análisis del Equilibrio, with the co-authorship of S. Allende, C. Bouza, and P. Gourdel. She devoted a lot of efforts looking for a publisher that will have a vocation to place it in the market at a low cost. Is our debt to publish it, and offer it as her dreamed first PhD. book on Mathematical Economics for Spanish speaker students. 192
